Fair comment Johnny 11, As an additive to my last mail and BEFORE anybody jumps on my, back I'm sure genuinely disabled fanciers have been at a disadvantage for years and YES !! they should have the system.

I thought this was known as the working mans sport !!!! This is whats keping the new recruits form our ranks. It's all about money ( or the lack of it ) With the cost also of the rings, I can imagine a few tears shed on losing thirty young un's on a flyaway or racing. As I've said before, I am a member of the "no" brigade but if it is voted in, I shall have it purely because of being forced into it or losing valuable seconds when clocking and it would be unfair to my pigeon to lose the race through the system. I still remain adamant in voting against it but shall "go with the flow" as they say.

A fellow club member of mine had them from R Forbes and did quite well with them until he packed up. If anyone wants the old, old, old dark Busschaert lines, I know of a man that has countless numbers of them. They go back through the Coppi, 45, Muskateer lines. He keeps only the Dark Busschaerts and trys to keep the blood as original as possible. He is also a mine of information on them. PM me if interested. Also on the plus side, he's not expensive.

Paulo, I know John Crowder very well. He no longer races but when he did, he was an excellent flyer. He had 62 direct Busschaerts from George Busschaert and has kept the families as pure as you can. He kept all the Pluto lines, Crayonne lines, Rapido lines and Little Black lines seperate. He no longer has any Rapidos but when I was last there, he had some beautiful Little Black youngsters.

What's your returns like ? Happy to say, I got a full house 31/31. Hope you others are just as lucky.

Fifer, Like you, I am plagued with the things and coming into the house. I think my Cat repellor has given up. I am now going to get an electric fence installed.

Pigeon club got a phone call on basketing last night that a 12yr old boy wants to JOIN our club. HOW NICE IS THAT. !! There's a clock and basket waiting for him and pigeons to boot if he wants them.

Sharron, If he's acting completely different to his usual self that's usually a sign of something amiss. he may be going light but I think you've done the right thing in isolating him. Just monitor his progress.

Seems as though our Fed may have a ( sensible ) change of heart. We could be going 88mls instead of 133mls. Now to me that makes sense, they were going to keep to the programme of 133mls after the fiasco last week and there was quite a number of first time pigeons ( mine included ) that wouldn't be sent. So why not bring em' back to 88mls and fill the transporter. Will be sending a full team 31.
