tim try cleaning up the connections where the battery goes with a bit of emery cloth or sandpaper, its a common fault with the stbs especially the top connection in nthe piece of plastic that fits over the battery

As previously posted i now accept that there has been a mix up and have apologised if i have caused any hassle i have no axe to grind with anyone and also acknowledge that jason is an honest and fair bloke, measures need putting in place to stop this happening again

pete i will leave it for you to sort out as i previously posted i am happy to pay for birds and collect them i can see its got confusing and messy, my offer to charity still stands as well if i dont get the birds, maybe for the future some clear rules, guidelines can be put in place for buyers and sellers for example do same as ebay where buyers and sellers are given a rating or even charge a nominal fee to become a buyer-seller because it looks like the few are ruining it for the genuine pigeon men on the site. I apologise if I have upset anyone and maybe i jumped the gun so will now let the matter go, and what will be will be yours in sport stan

thats my point exactly its on this site in the post above his, confirming that i was making arrangements to collect the birds, he did not reply to that post however. also we cannot be on this site 24 -7 can we? but as far as i am concerned i bid fairly and had every intention in paying for and collecting them as indicated by my original post asking how to collect them. If its going to cause problems then forget it and i will donate the money that it was going to cost me to a suitable charity if anyone nominates a worthy cause i will send them a cheque. I will not bid on pigeons again on this site. I repeat what i said earlier ask members on here if i have bid for something i have paid for it, i dont post on here a lot but this incident has wound me up

whitenight my point is that i did reply and if you go back through the posts phillipps has posted who won what and the post above that is mine asking how to arrange collection so please explain how i have not replied, or am i missing something? I bid fairly and confirmed that i was making arrangements to collect so why have the birds been put up for sale again?
-
phillips as you can see from the original quote its plain to see i replied and was trying to make arrangements for collection on the lots i won, please explain your reasons for putting them up for resale as i am not happy about the way this has been handled. i have purchased pigeons off this site before no problems ask members such as fletchlives i collected birds myself and paid cash, what is your problem? A not very happy bidder

its the easy way out to give the birds up, back in 2004 i was really struggling healthwise with my back and was flying poorly so in haste decided to give up and i gave over half my birds away, and then in 2005 i decided to race the few birds i had left but on a laid back kind of way basically if i was having a bad day they just got fed and watered . they got trained as and when but i still enjoyed them end result i had my best season for years winning warks 2bird 3 races out of 3 over channel and getting really good results in the mnfc and nfc. This year am stuggling again healthwise but its the birds that keep me going although this year not flying well so moral of story is carry on and ENJOY the birds as they are a long time gone

how do we go on for getting the birds? i am happy to get mine collected from derby in the week sometime

years ago when we first started we had some race cross tumblers from the pit bank anyway at end of our first year racing an oldboy came to the loft and said to get rid of all the mongrels as he called them so we got our neighbour to take them to devon when he went on holiday would you believe it over half of them made it back over about a week! never been trained or nowt. this chuck was over 140 miles
-
lots 2,3,9 bid £10 each
-
North warwickshire light south west wind sun trying to break through bits of blue in sky looks like a great day for racing
-
our fed charges £115 for 21 races and you can send as many as you want no extras to pay its the best way as the fed knows its budget before season starts and can plan races accordingly its good value at just over a fiver a week

Help !! New loft, do I get OB's or YB's?
stantheman replied to a topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
You cant beat rearing your own youngbirds I would suggest you do a bit of both breed your own and bring some in as your just starting up you need to learn the basics and by breeding your own you will learn an awful lot about what the sport involves -
Albear didnt your mate bill carney have a lot of the arrie visser pigeons just before he packed in? i seem to remember him doing really well in the mnfc in one race having 4 or 5 in the first 20 .

Natural Breeding Station Ybs
stantheman replied to pigeonman007's topic in Breeding, Strains & Families
I have had youngsters from breeding station for last 3 years always pre ordered no problems with them at all in fact last year 2 looked a bit old so i asked them to swap them which they did with no hassle i asked for all cocks and ended up with 9 out of ten correctly sexed i personally think for what they charge you cannot go wrong and no longer buy from lier as prices have gone up and quality has gone down -
brian denny or chris gordon
