  1. Iam sending 5 but after the last race I think numbers will be well down and fortecast is not that good for the weekend
  2. It was definitly the galaxy loft pigeon that fetched £750 I know this for certain as it was me that bought the pigeon on behalf of someone else, I bid for it as they knew it would be run up if they were there and how right they were! wont reveal who they are as that would not be fair
  3. Galaxy lofts bred the pigeon that sold for £750 at Bescot and I know who bought it and they have been winning everything round our way.and have lots of pigeons from galaxy :)
  4. mick i agree with you about how your club would deal with it and that is how i have dealt with change of status when i was secretary of my local club but i was referred to region secretary and she advised me that my partner to be had to apply in his own right and be in the clubs radius. I have since spoke to the rpra at the reddingsand they told me to put it in writing to my region who in turn will seek guidance from council I think this is all a big joke as if i had just applied to the rpra for a name change they told me it would have gone through no problem now in their words they dont want to tread on anyones toes. Makes you wonder why we bother next time i will go straight to rpra and do it then inform clubs of new flying name, in meantime i have wrote to the region asking for a ruling and what rule it comes under because i cant find it anywhere in the rules or any rule that i have broken
  5. thats why i was asking for advice as i want to carry on flying in the club dont want to risk being left high and dry
  6. thanks for the advice i will contact rpra again for the relevant forms and start the process
  7. west mids mrs edwards
  8. its a tricky one as i dont want to resign from the club i currently fly in and reapply as i dont think they will let me back in. all the other clubs i fly in dont think it will be a problem just got conflicting advice from region and r.p.r.a. p.s my partner to be has not got pigeons now and has moved to alocation where he wont be able to have them, i just want him to remain in the sport
  9. I went to a moot a few years ago where the panel advised against the over use of cod liver oil as apparrently the birds looked great but performances following season were poor due to overdosing on vit D. for info on panel was g.kirkland and one from porter and richardson both top fliers in anybodies book
  10. can anyone help me? I wanted to form a partnership for next season and rang region secretary asking for advice she told me that my proposed partner has to apply to apply in his own right to become a member and has to be in clubs radius and then when he is accepted I have to apply for a change of name for him to fly with me. I explained that he is not in the clubs radius nor any other clubs that I am a member of but we wish to fly from my loft location not his new address she was adamant that we could not do this. Is this correct? I rang R.P.R.A and they are looking into it has anyone got any thoughts?

  14. Just wondered if any clubs or feds in the midlands area are looking for transport for 2007 as I know of a geraldy trailer and pick-up looking for work and I can personally recomend the owner who gives the best service going
  15. The Luc Van Hoeke pigeons have been doing well in the midlands particularly from the channel races. I bought a youngster from his race team in 2002 and its scored every year from the channel also same year two other people on same trip bought youngsters that have won
  16. I raced in warks 2-bird from same racepoint same lib time only 11 pigeons timed in from approx 220 miles not a good advert for the sport.
