  1. G R Couriers offer a service between UK & Ireland. Their details appear on the couriers list.
  2. Nice one Andy !! Basically I purchased 2 garden sheds...an 8x6 & 12x6. I've bought a couple of sheds off this chap before and he is very good. I've basically given him 3 frames (to hold sputniks) and he'll build them in. I'll do the vents , perches and nest boxes myself. As regards pics, I'll do them in sequence for you when the sheds arrive, and post accordingly. OK mate ?
  3. Mornin' all. Lovely day here (so far). Went to town and got my hair cut, nipped out to Cyril Beatties' and got myself a couple of sputniks for the new lofts. Think the rest of the day will be spent in garden making a few adjustments to the existing foundations for when new sheds arrive.
  4. Best wishes Andy. Paul

    Show Racers

As stated there is, thank God, no written standard regarding the show racer. We all have set in our own mind of what we consider to be the ideal type, and that is one of the beauties of keeping the breed. Long may it continue !!
  8. Done.
  9. PM sent. Paul
  10. Thanks Andy, quite simply trying my best to keep fancier costs down. My aim is to produce good gear at an affordable price.
  11. Just got a new delivery of 18mm hardwood plywood, so I can now offer Pippo boxes on a bit of a deal. Previously I had these at £35.00 per set, I can now clip the price of these to £30.00 per set. If I save on wood, you save on finished items !! Best I can do !! Cheers folks, Paul.
  12. LOT 14 £30 please Cheers, Paul. Done Thanks
  13. B.Leefe & Sons are advertising the 2 sizes; 1kg & 2kg.
  14. 'Mornin all...nice and bright here in Co.Armagh (for once !)
  15. Up to now I've had a lot of interest for my boxes from 'mainland' fanciers, and I thank you for that. The problem was always carriage. I have since been talking to Gary at GR Couriers, so please read my first post for more details. Thanks, Paul.
  16. Well that's what I hope to do !! I'm on the lookout for a local amateur potter who would be interested in knocking a few out, but I would like to have a sample so they can 'clone' it.
  17. That's getting better, but from memory, the one I'm interested in,isn't as wide at the top.
  18. No.....much older than those !!
  19. Hi folks. For those of us of a certain 'vintage', we can probably bring to mind the old terracotta clay nest bowls which most would remember fondly. From my memory they were not as wide at the top as modern bowls but were deeper and steeper sided. If available, would they sell these days ? Would be nice to hear your thoughts. Many thanks. Paul.
  20. Snowing here, but don't think it will lie.
  21. Must be a great dissapointment for all concerned. Don't give up and hopefully you can get things in place for next year. Would be great to see things coming together, resulting in a first class show. Best of luck for the future.
  22. Bit cold here and overcast. No rain, but apparently it's due later.
  23. Mornin' all. Been into town for 8.00am to get hair cut, now just waiting for a chap to come and collect some Pippo boxes I made for him. Hopefully he comes early so I can get a few more made (bit stuck for space). Have a good day everyone !!
  24. Hi Tony Can I ask how much roof over-hang there is at front of loft, does roof slope to front or back, what distance from roof to where trap is ?
  25. Few sets of new Pippo boxes for sale. Main carcass and divides are 18mm hardwood plywood, backs are 4mm ply. Height 48", depth 11.75" and wide 23.75" £35 per set. CARRIAGE : I have been talking to Gary at GR Couriers, who will be happy to courier these from me and offer a door to door service. Going on the price he offers on his pigeon delivery service, he could well be worth a phone call to discuss your needs !! He can be contacted on 01773591808. Cheers folks, Paul.
