I agree with Jamsie 100%. One only has to look at the notice boards in the Doctors surgery waiting rooms to see the answers as to what and why and often how useless they are. Likewise the anti biotics ... as to what they can do. Think in reality the question should be What and when used and then WHY. Yogurts are another one. As a world renown veterinarian says 'If dead they are useless. If live they would be dead before they reach the shelf. But may give a nice sheen and look, who knows. Think in reality it is down to whims and likes of the fancier. JMO

Mayweather should be odds on. Feel he will dominate. Then a couple of easy ones like Khan etc. and break Rocky's unbeaten record to retire on. Personally think this is Pac Man's great pay day to retire on ... but will have one or two more to retire on a win. We may well see it this time. Makes one think that or the other hype was just to make this a great pay day ... They will both go down as greats regardless now, and wealthy to boot.

I decided to go deep litter this last season. Best thing I've done fore some time that's for sure. I used to scrap every day. One time 20 years ago I had grills about two and feet high on a raised loft. Clean was a pain, and madw me lazy. So if I ever did that again I would have trays under neath for easy cleaning. Yes I - some don't because it can have dust etc. in the loft - add white / Staloan etc. Also garden lime. But every time I think the dust is due to rise, or start to get up, I take out most and in it leaving the dry droppings. Costs about £2/3 tops per week. Many don't clear it out year in a year out. Bedding in I spray a good disinfection over it straight off. But feel maybe that dust may be well be it's only draw back. JMO

I didn't remember to ask ... But our baskets etc. etc. are in an out building at the pub ... and covered by the pubs insurance. Likewise my house insurance automatically covers fixtures and fitting / building in the garden. I did check this last year actually.

Good to hear. Mind I oft feel sometimes these couriers are unjustly berated. - Not always of course. But one on the roads, and reading Sat Nav estimate of times DON'T and Can't foresee many obstacles and happenings they may have to encounter. Think then, personally, that a phone call helps ... if the destination are able to answer of course.

Will ask at the club tonight who we are insured with.

GO TO A Compare site .... or two.

Best all round on the market. Jim heads and shoulders above any one regards help and assisting. Yes had other, and club mates in one club have others.... So experience says that they are all round far out in front of any others. Jim travels down from Scotland to our local clubs o do updates etc. fantastic.

Good ole Buster. I picked up a bird that a lady had handed into the local vets ... at Coventry. I travelled the 40 miles. The Vet had a bad reputation, it seems are money grabbers, and no local fancier was going there, due to the believe that there would be costs lol. So I phoned to make arrangements as to when I could pick it up at their' convenience. Mentioned I would like the ladies address as I would buy her a bunch of flowers ... then thanked them ... no charge! Yes I did buy the lady a bunch of flowers, and had a long chat with her 14 year lad. He was interested in starting up ... Mum was moving them, but said as the garden was bigger she'd let him have a small loft... Told her to get in touch with the local club and that they would more than likely breed him some youngsters free etc. Moved out the area, and I often wonder if the lad started up ... just keeping them even.

Not a good few year Redchehen ... But after sales still as bad, couldn't be any worse.

Good to hear it Delboy. On the good hand it would be a great step forward and precedent ... On the other it maybe another great disappointment ... But I sincerely hope you are right!

Google it mate. Only one Unikon Agent ... Ray Knight. Good luck.
-
It will I'm afraid, in my opinion.

I collect mine - or rather Joyce does to save me money lol - Never there till Sat or next week. No, no good changing News agents, it happens at all of them in this town. Have of course missed out on the odd purchase advertised of course. Often think just cancel ... but then every ONCE in a While they is something worth reading...
-
I fully agree with you Delboy. Further if and when - and I feel now, it is most likely that an EGM will be called, what options and outcome could one reasonably expect, as to what should be the outcome. Seen many times happenings that reek of offence and happenings... Seen sorrowfully only too often the broom sweeping under the feet and Carpet. At best, I fear, a warning as to future conduct, after saying 'Nothing can be proved and as such no further action can, (let alone will be) taken.
-
Simply put. Yes action should be taken. Yes the culprits, and there is more than one should be up before the beak. But will they? I doubt it! Lessons learned I guess and put it aside and press on. But you know, even a half wit like me knows this. Further, with only a halfpenth of sense, it is UP to the MEMBERS to cry out and make a noise. Demand action ... so it will be swept under the carpet.

Personally I see why blood boils etc. But the reality now should be steps taken to enforce it can never happen again as to hanging any one out to dry. Suspensions/losses of contracts may well be an option.... But surely it is too late to turn the tables or collect any spilt milk. Yes no doubt a rack of the knuckles. But it will be stretched out to be better late than never. Like the silly practices of Convoyers taking strays in the boxes / baskets on the transporters. Leaves a door open for birds in the race to be let off early etc. At least one may say 'They would / will be let up AFTER the lib ... unless someone needs a leak in the early morning. But what I will say is 'Time to heat the coals and tighten the chains...
-
So the big horse races are dominated by off spring of past winners eh? No matter the cost, or breeding, it takes the owner / fanciers to enable the birds to bring home the bacon. Further I'd wager - if able to be proven - that nigh every loft at some times has / or will have a great bird ... whether recognised and brought to the table will be another story, and Many may be brought to the dinner table lol. For the cogs to turn in harmony it takes knowledge and oil.

Spoke a well known National winner, 5 or so year s ago, who visited Belgium regularly. He smiled and said 'Over there he is never heard of ... They can't see how he has made such a name for his self.
-
AS Alf Baker said, 'You buy the birds, not the fancier'! Mind his birds did breed an international winner ... For Belgium. Often flayed though as above.

Busseart? ever heard of them lol. :emoticon-0123-party:

Am not necessarily referring to the articles published etc. But to what some may regard as 'Freedom of Speech' 'Freedom of speech has so many aspects - and quite rightly - to it that it isn't in reality, now or ever has been a 'Freedom of Speech'. Indeed is nigh a myth. Insults / sexist / racist etc. etc. aren't part and partial to 'Freedom of Speech. Too many think that uttering 'Freedom of speech' gives one enblock the right to say whatever they want REGARDLESS. etc. etc. It simply is a myth that, and certainly not what the spirit it is intended. For instance where is the difference between freedom of speech and slander? etc. etc.

Good to hear matey ... Are them golden breeders still there lol  It is good to hear Walter.

May was ... as for the latter statement '.... I do hope all is cleared up for the good of the sport and national' No chance lol.
