Went to buy some Tobbacco stalks yesterday... apparently been a piece in the BWH that there was going to be a shortage.... well sold out. Seen the Nails and screws, bits of wire. Bought some Hay- as it has no hollow tubes for hiding nasties, ans waiting .... supose I could cut wire into 4 inch lengths and leave about lol.

Went over the fields a few years back - 20 by golly, and see two idiots shooting anything that moved. Said - with a 4 10, that the sparrows etc. were for their Ferrets! I told them there'd be nothing left for the ferrets! But as I had lost a couple to guns, and a big race when a certain bird came back shot through the wing and part chest, I told them a little story. That if they had ever shot a pigeon a saw me coming, they'd better shoot me as they would be heading - at best - to hospital. That after I'd extracted all and any loot by any means possible, that hospital would be their second home, as the habbit would be hard to break. I was in a mood and my face told them that it was so. They never ever shot i that, or near my vincinity again lol. But I knew in me heart of heartd (I have 5 actually lol) that tey had been shooting pigeons, and I felt moine. So alls well that ends well lol.

Because you don't have 10 -40 lofts on your door step! As simple as that. If say just 6 birds hit the lofts same time, all else being equal, but two have ET's and the other a manual, the Manual won't be in the first 4 Simple that. How far can a bird travell in 15 sconds,- forge the 2 seconds going into the trap. Of course you will say it depends on Wind strength and direction ... exactly too, but in any case DISTANCE(S)

Sure and are you going to give some one a month to 5 weeks wages + band money to set it up!, and extra money for Club / Fed to get the Masters etc.? Are your lofts left unsecure at night! How will you guarantee that the ET will be there ANY morning let alne Saturday for Racing. I believe them to be real concerns and fears. a vast amount here are on US$10 per hour less Stoppages. So tha equates to $300 a week, and set up cost of $1500... yeah many are peeved. And many more with the bull dozing through the back door a DDA ruling that doesn't equate to Poultry, and this nor any other goermen has, or will allow us to be anything else, but classed as Poultry keepers, so how can one discriminate in a Sport that is not recognised. Fortunately it seems most clubs / members / will stay the same. And the only discrimanting will be when no one will vote in a person disabled! Most can't afford it, which means more will leave which means more expence between fewer which means more expence... no what part can't you understand? Not relate too for that too far above any one wanting an ET. So they can have one for training purposes etc. So just why do those that can afford one want one! To steal a march on those that can't, pure and simple. Yes less than 1% would like one because of work comitments, but for over a 100 years now we have manage without....

I have to mate up as the Ferals cock birds are bombarding my lofts when the hens are out, and the cock birds nip over to their lofts when out ... Never seen anything as effective. But must keep well away from the kids etc. of course.

Spot on Allbear ... seems though that the clubs I am in won't be having them, couple said 'I'd like one, but don't wont to e the most unpopular in the club, lonely talking to our selve' ... but hen tomorow is another day. Will beslow taking off of course, but ... The line saying Glad it came in is the only part I would be hesitate about, for I wait with bated breathe as to those leaving. Now if the clubs, Fed stay as they are for now and evolve slowly then perhaps it is the only way to get it in, and as the older one give up, or pass on, then it will be viewed in another light altogether. I will definately not have one unless for training purposes, till the large majority are happy with it.

Went to fetch a few y/b' back in 96 - 16 days old and the fancier doing his nut, threathening to dispose of them saying they wouldn't hone till yearlings- Any way he had had a couple of mishaps and I was 4 y/b's ligt, so his mate said I could have the two bred for him. There was another couple, and did they look nice. The parents were great lookers, especially the cock bird. He saw I was interseted and said they would be no good for racing as they were a family of bad trappers! But I had them, and he swore I'd never get them to tarp fast, race yes, but not trap, and sooner or ater I'd have to end the line throgh fraustration. A great fancier, very knowledgeable and forthright. Well the y/b's were great straight off after I'd followed his instructions. The family of bad trapper flew ay where and every where. Most often first birds home.... never ever trapped, 15 - 30 minutes. Last one is two year old... but I've let the line end. All great lookers, and loverly trait etc. Won't trap and I've tried everything, nest circles, aay from home, jealousy etc. etc. Flew great, never in the clock!

Remember reading where they fed young chickens on pigeon milk and the results in speeded up results were astoanding. something like 6 to one if memory serves me corect;y. No I don't know how they got the milk and that amount lol.

AVAST! IT'S free and brill, best I've ever had, and I've paid for some name ones that aren't anywhere near as good. One I forgot te ame of - is on a memory disc somewhere - that was also free tha the Universities use, that is real good too. But AVAST! TRY IT, it's free too.

Was hearing that the Fed was not interested in having a master! Likewise most in my clubs! Maybe it will be, for a year or two, that they will be used as they were before this was passed, own interests. When clubs - and Feds - have to have Social events and Fund raisers to survive, and still lose money, I believe it will be hard to tell those that can't, or won't afford it, to cough up and pay for those that can!
