Problems solved eh! http://www.agrisellex.co.uk/erol.html#1X0 The place I use http://www.rutland-electric-fencing.co.uk/newproducts.htm#gardenkits This has to be good http://www.wessexanimalhealth.co.uk/acatalog/fencing.html And many more http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=9+Volt+electric+fence+%2F+wire&meta=

They sell them in some garden centres and what no and work of a nine volt battery. No planning permission is needed. Likewise I have he one used in fields and runs a 3/4 prong one... two is more than adequate. and that is also legal and needs no planning permission. Many are using them this way ... used to ge them of travellers cheap lol, but even theses are really cost effective, a lot less than what a good bird costs.

Job Done... well done Flyer, I restored it lol
-
Had a feral once... beat the y/b's home every tossup to 80 miles. Cleaned out they see hawks way before yours will and head into the loft... your following. Why I often treat any water around the yard etc. If any birds - like sparrows etc. go in to the loft they won't pass on any nasties.
-
I put the 'Download upon here not long back ... will again if I find what disc I copied it to. Then I enlarged it to put 30 on it... no problem.
-
Just buy a Garden Electric wire... even horses buck and run fro them. 5-6 inches high around the Garden. top of the fence, the loft or what ever. They only sniff or touch it once and won't come back... they smell the electric after that and give a real wide birth. Can't in reality see what the problem is iin not having one to do the job!

Believe your right there Mike.

All pigeons carry Canker, Coli, etc. and in a mild form are relevant and necasary to the well being of the bird. A mild form keeps stronger and more prevalent unwanted strains at bay. If the bird is in great shape, silky and oily, and s bright shen and chasing everything with a feather (A cock bird lol) then there is nothing wrong with them ... likewise the hens, if flying wel necks arced out and claping, gliding about, why bother with the looks of the droppins! or the yeast content? Your's and mine and everyones droppings are different most days... do we live down the doctors - or a qacks! Of course not, too many spout rubbish and too many look for things that are there!

Yep will have to bay a candle ...

Will have to let nature take it's course as to what is not sat etc. I guess

When moved where do they go to! Under the appropiate heading I hear say! Where is the Humour / joke page and set up then. Sometimes it is visible ... Have just deleted 73 pages of jokes as I have to sort out new material. Have about 10 to go lol.

thirty shillings ... I pound and a half stirling, £1 50p 3 Bob ten times lol

Our Club has a Forrester who is very knowleadgeable and gives great pointers. Obviously he is interested in Nature too, else it would have that job no doubt.
-
Well have heard of it, though never seen it personally… but now I have a pair of yearlings that have laid three eggs… Yes I believe it was the Hen that laid them lol. I presume that they will rear them as normal. First nest for both of them.

Lice are good for the feathering, and they keep quills fine and clean.. it is the handlin and what we determine what is NICE that throws a wrong light on it. All and every creature has parasites, good and bad. Mostly good, whether external, or internal. But we BELIEVE... we know better that nature and what God intended. Ony thing is say like the pigeon it wasn't intended to race... Home yes, and we just extent it's distances etc.
-
Best is just a dollop straight down the gussset1 Wim bang and dropping etc. solved. Yes nice firm and round in no time... mind looks are deceiving.
-
No is different from the 'Cage' and a simple way of obtaining and releasing further up the road I guess.

Don't obviously want to see thw cotten wool type that can be removed with a match. But I like my birds to be carrying some mild forms at all times. Very rarely treat for it, and will do so a lot lot less from now on. Like all and any Yeast etc. say Coli, there are umpteen strains and very seldom - if ever except after a ardent clean out - with you not see sme form of yeast / coli / canker in the droppings. If they are performinga and in a good healthy state, you are probably better off leaving alone! JMO

Well had a red Chequer Cock bird just flew the 400 odd miler, and it was doing 1960ypm. Was pleasantly pleased and a mite surprised. Got to the Clock station and the winner inmy Area was just over the 2000 ypm. I was way down in fed. And even further down in Section of just undr the 2100 ypm. But this was the East Coast Club (NRCC) and that was absolute annihalated! They were doing over the 2300. A paper bag actually was 5th lol. But the times had / have absolutely nothing to do with the birds credit. And frankly I'd rather win 880yarder any day than a blow home etc. That's not say Vic that yours was a blow home, nor that there were better pigeons in a not such a good location! But know where your coming from.

A wire cage! With a inner wire cage inside that holds a pigeon or two. Just a hole in the top about 5 inches square or round. A wire trap of 5/6 inches inside the hole so they can't fly out and as they climb like parrats the hole is protected by the inner wire. THE WHOLE SHEBUNKEM wil be about 4 foot high and 3-4 square.

Haven't bothered much to race y/b's let alone race them. Will do this years I reckon. Many don't train at all till yearlings / 2 year olds, and then some just put into a race. Some even Nationals and done very well. If you have a family of birds you know their capabilities, if not, no good molley cuddling them till lost first test. If they are cntented, which means they like your st up, distance is irrelevant, they will home, and the first times race home... later if they are any good you will be able to do as you think is right by them.
