Costs it seems, and of course ET's are real cheap to buy, and most want to have a level pitch .... ET's of course are discrimate against those that can't afford one... so when a few are stolen, or smashed on the allottments, thay bare being discriminated ... Rubbish mucker, of course many will leave and Ones like you will spout crap that it was really for something else... LMAO. Still seems that the clubs I am in aren't going to have them, or allow them, and will even form Manual Clocking Clubs only, in case we are accused of discriminating against other CAGE BIRD keeper lol.
  2. Didn't realise I had flyaway Velo, thanks, yes the very few I loose are normally one or two every so often off the Top. Got hit by a Barnsley Fed this year when the y/b's were just over Roof Topping, and these were birds I had bought in. Yet 6 still returned over the next few weeks. I have in a 16 box box carpartment just 9 pairs this season. It is only 4 foot by 4 five foot and nearly 7 foot high. Plenty of space, oozles of fresh circulating air. So how many pairs roosting in a Tree would be over crowding?

    incubation

Well what does one think, do the birds count the days of incubation or wait for movement or something, and then after a few extra days desert? I have a barren hen, mated to a cock bird and have slipped a egg a day for two days under hen They are sitting ok. Have week old eggs from me favourite hen and wish to swap. Whats are your views?
  6. http://www.michaelandjudystouffer.com/judy/articles/vinegar.htm is interesting reading.../. have posted before so those that have it, forgive but could be useful reading for those that don't
  7. Why?
  8. Well I believe for a moment that the bird, the gut, or the Bacteria for that matter knws, or gives a jot whether it is good or bad. But surprisely, mostl the good far outwieghs and is stronger than the bad... may need a pick me up from time to time. But you know when you thing of it realistically, it is a virus / desiese that the good bateria has to normally fight against. And if the birds - admitted somethime there may be a reason - at sea, and others in loft aren't, then it is normally a cull. Your best birds seldom get really blown side ways, if indeed il at all. It is often the needless and wrng medicence that the Fancier pours down it's throat that is the main culprit. JMO

Well was at another Club meeting tonight.... seems that the ET is a certain no goer. Seems one may even put it in the minutes that our club is a Manual Clok club only. Even if we all have to start the club again from scratch.
  10. Horses for courses. Ricky Mardis did a study I believe, and the measurements etc. On Camanco site. Now it certainly gives the birds a great shine and silky tight feathering, soft as sheen it's self. So for the show pen a must. When I tried it, about 11 years ago now, I was impressed with the looks and condition. But I decided that as it kills ALL gut bateria, it had to have a detrimental effect. Pigeons need Gut Bacteria, and also a mild dose of canker. But have vital needs to the pigeon. To remove completely either one must be asking for a bad immune system and bad doses of cankers. There are now 29/ 30 types of srains, and they very quickly become immune to any treatment. So one has to often change the cure remedy. But if never treated for canker, and are fit and healthy, then one may well do more harm than good. Ws a time when in bad cases a match, or cotton bud was used, and that was that. The bird dealt with it and it became part and partial to it's system. Yes they need some form or strain of canker at all times, and this in mild forms they keep under control and regulate.
  11. There and I was informed by a very reliable Vet - world renowned - that he doesn't recommend or use Electro because of the dehydration it may very well cause as it dries them them out. Of course they get thirsty, another reason wht 'Garlic' helps lose wieght etc. because they only drink just bear essentisals and HAT makes them thirsty. - must replenish wih clear water after Garlic.

    Coconut Oil

When me matey - 74- a real lecturous spring chicken was services a few younsters in Thailan, he ran a bit dry, and was a wee be tired like, and visits te doctor, a loverly looking lass, and after listening etc. she sorted him out by prescribing Coconut Milk... and he was soon back in action, true like.

  16. Seldom seen Scottish greats, so though I posted this ;ink once before, I still have to pinch myself to be convinced lol. Well worth another look I believe... Tic beans and fressh air lol http://canadaracingpigeons.com/scottish_distance_greats.html
  17. Instinct and processing an ability to home that we, and probably more than likely the birds themselves know next to nowt about. Seems that if fit, have a basic contentment to be In their loft, then that's their part done. A good bird needs looking after, and can improve somewhat, same as an exceptional good bird. So it follows that if Both are brought as far as they can be in condition, and wanting to home, the Better bird will still suffice.
  18. Nah don't believe that for one moment. Golly he boxed by numbers and even when repeatedly told he was being intervied by ITA and that Harry didn't work on their channel he repeatedly asked 'Where's Harry' lol.
  19. Well I suppose the teal reason for going Invisable is to see Hen's speckled *expletive removed* without being seen to ogle lol.

Quite good, ANTI-DISCRIMINATION ACT 1977 - SECT 49C What constitutes unjustifiable hardship 49C What constitutes unjustifiable hardship In determining what constitutes unjustifiable hardship for the purposes of this Part, all relevant circumstances of the particular case are to be taken into account including: (a) the nature of the benefit or detriment likely to accrue or be suffered by any persons concerned, and ( the effect of the disability of a person concerned, and © the financial circumstances and the estimated amount of expenditure required to be made by the person claiming unjustifiable hardship. and then there is the Act of being dicriminated against by the Law if the Discriminate act brings hardship or undue preasure to bear on others. Of course this would also be unlawful if certain parties, disabled or not aren't able or allowed to compete on a fare and equael playing field.

Ticeye you part quote about sums you and the other Pro ET brigade and their true merit for wanting them when you say ...quote 'as for saying to have none ets clubs they will not do very well in the fed and combine results against others using ets' That is why it seem that our Fed won't be having them. Are he RPRa all of a sudden going to trey to enclose something! And something that may well yet turn out to be not only not enforable but illegally obtained!

Any way since when has Poultry Keeping been a sport? And surely since the MAFF then DAFRA and ALL govermnets have continuously refused to recognise our so - call hobby of pigeon fancy a sport there can not be any dicrimination! Simple that even I can understand that! AND further as there IS no legal Legistration to say that we evn COULD be discrimating under ANY ruling where does that leave us! Have yet to see any legistration applicable to us! Surely the ruling must and should have been quoted somewhere! You lot keep going on about this that and the other in regards ET and what the rest of us can or can't do.... About time someone somewhere put it up to been seen !

Comes under discrimanation .... those NOT able to have one, be it for location, costs or whatever.... Surely one cannot pass a law to discriminate against them...
