I put mine on a Word Document ... and also save to disc when I remember. Floppy will also service.
  2. yeah I remember when my father wasn't the only fancier to go to the club on a bus ... even trained them short distances on them ... longer was the train of course.
  3. Well quote mucker, as I have often put the same up. Know fanciers that knock the owners door and politely ask 'Just why do you think it is right for you cat to crap on other gardens and allotments, and kill and be highly cruel to other living creatures'. Then polite say that unless they can be acomprimise that suits both, mainly the offended against, the cat will go walk a bouts. Trapped and sorted. But the ole electric fence is faddam proof.
  4. Don't cost oat to build a loft. Factories have Pallets that they'd be pleased to shift. Tip for wire mesh and ole nails and screws straighten... Infact lol I was straightening a few my self this last few day. I - like many others would breed you a pair, so you'd start with top birds.
  5. Very wise you'll soon be at the top of this sport eh' ;D ;D
  6. With a sponge!

I don't see the side that most are portraying as to what ME said, let alone meant!
  8. Twice a year! Rubbish once every 2 years is more than enough ... then take tha birds out, saturate in Cresote, and leave to dry. 2- 3 Weeks later replace the birds, there done, healthy contented and happy birds!
  9. Had a Tom cat 3 doors down with TWO bells on a collar .... never made a jingle when in 'Stealth mode'
  10. Dogs don't climb, and cats soon know this of course, and when a cat drops on the back of a dog, which they will, regardless of size, the eyes are torn out, Be warned. The reason that Grey hounds / whippets are useful, o- on ground only - is that they don't have time to stop when the cat arches it's back ... if a dog has the chance to stop when a cat faces up to it... the dog either goes away saving face by posing - normally - or just flees. Yes a spring trap box and released away works wonders. Just strong enough to spring back into a lock position ... or just go and buy for £50 a blooming electric fence and have done with it ... they use them on allotments, and back gardens... Once stung ... normally on the WET nose as the smell it, they never cross the eclectic line again ... indeed give it a wide berth to say the least.
  11. Quoted from homer personally , i dont like ANY deep litter ! deep litter is for chicken and turkey farmers with hundreds of birds to look after. for me its a shallow litter and clean em out every day ! (gonna be contraversial now) deep litter in your average pigeon loft is for lazy fanciers that only want to muck out a couple a times a year !...................................................................................................................................... there u go , i said it. Or folks that A. Don't have the time, or B. because they believe in it. Many successful lofts have had first class pigeons that have won at the top - Nationals etc. -on un - cleaned out lofts... Now if deep litter is a necessate then that has to be the case Homer ... or is it alright for the misuse jargon for wanting a ET timer a different matter ... no you can't have it both ways. I only race two races all of last season, and 5 the season before... through time... why I have taken different employment ... Had to have electric put into the loft ... am away at 5 most morning and often not back till 6 or 9 or even later.( agreed sometime back at 5). Yes I am always knackered, and I only clean out twice a week, but I know that I'd be a darn sight better off having a Deep Litter system, and that wouldn't be because of being lazy, not because of a 'Must do' but because I actually well believe in it, and above all it has very many good merits in regards the benefit of the birds.
  12. Yeah ... maybe one where the Crafty Ba***ds have altered the touch parts, like the simple Delete means you are agreeing etc. Often hidden to on the computer ... Look in 'Programmes' and you may well find and be able to delete it there. Good Luck.
  13. Lol :K);D
  14. Yep, had a fellow flyer sum it up just this week. I asked 'with the Fed radious as they are, I shall bother to join ''''' Club. I mean does anyone near this area ever get a look in'? His answer was. 'Well of course, just as the North East normally dominate the MNFC, Like wis our fed ... if Wind changes of course then it is...' No! Not all the best flyers live in prime locations, but the Best won't beat those that do'! Soin reality when buying birds do the homework, and at the top put, Location / wind and how many!
  15. Yep like most ... and there will be a lot more than 3% wasted.

    which colour

Reds and Grizzles, so Red Grizzles I suppose, and I haven't any ... well one red chequer ...
  17. Very slightly more Carbs, about 3%. Birds take a lot of getting use to it... Really best to forget it I believe JMO.

    Iron Tonic

Golly was just about to post that same ... ;D
  19. Had grills once, 1 inch tubing and about 2 inches apart. Loft was 2 foot of the ground and ventilated all around the top. Great, had wooded ply shelfs on floor to drag out and clean. One big mistake I made was I didn't fence it in with say 1/2 inch mesh ... cat's used to sit under it... took a while to twig thick me. Worked a treat ... Now? ! I have a normal floor with Guinea pig on it. Kepts them up, and I'f habe dale half inch thick instead of V perches. Drop down shelving to water and feed them on...
  20. Or till sorted, make sure that they can perch way up off the grass.

    whos first

No Dogeon beat you Tommy... Mind you were the Last of 2007 I think .... subject to looking at times.
  22. I'd only have them in for the races and training. Mind down the allotments they'll have to take everything away and reset it up every time, and keep the Car Batteries on charge.
  23. You lickle fibber you :K) ;D there the whole set ... with raspberries lol. Everyone have a good one, and lets all hope for some great racing eh!
