Don't know, but still have fond memories of a fellow that had pigeons all his life. The day he was born his day kept pigeons so ... Any way he never won a race. Was a great fellow, wife a nagg and pain in butt. But guess he was happy... nagged forever to get shot of his pigeins etc. Any roads knew he was soon going in a bugalow, help home really with the dragon. Season before he went, last racing season a mate helped him with hois birds and trained them etc. etc. You guessed it he not only won the Blue ribbon from Lerwick but also the Fed with the only bird in race time. To see how proud he was was a treat, and a nicer, happier man there wasn't! Still feel warm when i remember him. Herbie from Findon.... What a story, one couldn't have wrote a it!

Yes Albear, that is the only reason I would rejoin a national club. Even then then can't agree to say costs and go together. Could have it in turns to transport all the birds, or just take out the acyual costs and split what is left. Better still, as an incentive, and a boon to Distance racing and for benefit of members, ransport just for costs. This would mean a lot more able to afford, and many more actually sending. Merit / Acheivement, and above all the actual members benefitting. No more of the crap scenario 'Well we lose money sending to ...' crap!

Please, please, just where are we here!? Does one really expect that such concerns acyually care, let alone cater for the grass roots, the working fancier!? Get real, if one thing I've leant, - the biggest Cancer in our sport - is that these , and from many feds upwards, are only interested in 'Names, Cleques, and their own mob. The vast majority live a dream, stutter wth a Wing and a Prayer. So just why does any one really think that their uncaring, selfish attitudes will be any different! Gosh, they'll have fairer sections, more sensible Marking Stations, even allow the grass roots to help finiance their own club via buying their rings etc etc. You want the list? Why do most feds cater and send far more birds weekly that the sparodic Nationals, and thats not count the like of the might UNC! Why is it that at least 90% don't even bother to join the likes of the MNFC, the NFC, the NRCC! Oh of course, it is because the bend over backwards to help, and be sensible and fair SHOULD we say CARE for their' members!!! Nah1 out side of taking your money to finaice the coffers of their more 'Affluent / Positioned clique they prove every meeting that don't goive a sh** about us. So pardon me while I rush out and send another juicy cheque to them. Clubs I'm in want to use them as the club channel races Full stop. So I stick to the harder, and more meriteous North Rd for my honours and not pay them a jot! Yes will send a few each week South to help the club, and tune them up for the North Rd.
