Our Fed / clubs have always allowed this to be done. Strangely enough, as sometimes happens, a club I'm in is insisting they have to buy another's bird. Doesn't seem to be too popular as past times have shown. Personally I think a decent idea is that come End of old season, say a fortnight before y/b's start one can nominate a youngster(s) for say £20 and wins 75% of total prize money. The other 25% going to the club. Then one has birds trained and showing promise, or at least there when racing starts. How much really should be decided via members. Of course again this could be seperate from a Breeder / Buyer. JMO.

Well towards being right.... The Imagrants actually fund my pension... we earn 40£billion from them. Think you will find Fuel tax a little higher than that! So, if the fuel, which till recently was actually cheapest since the early seventies in real terms to buy/ transport and refine etc. was to us 75p a litre, which alone would bring down nigh 70 of all other costs NATIONWIDE. Don't really think the fact many migrants worked after, before the wars etc. matter. They were housed and had wages. They do well in their' own parts of towns etc. and have their own customs and many relatives here and enjoy the hospitality we afford them. That is a two-way thing. So, to me, that is out of the equation of what we owe them. In real terms on that score nothing. They do every bit as well as the british in that regard. As for the hardships and life’s given and taken on or behalf.... Well it was also in their’ own interest too. Yes, of cause we pay too much. My Tic beens were @25K £3.50, then £4.50 in September. November 2yo Tic Bans went to £5 then to £6 inside a Month. In January till now £7. Now if I had 25 - 30 members that would guarentee me theu would have 10 bags each, and I went to the farmer - All aleways good and spot on stuff granted, I's bet 300 bags would be £4 50 or less. Wheat / Barley £3 a 25K bag etc. etc. English Maples would be less than a fiver. Indeed if I can get this sorted and went to the FARMER now, He would grow and produce them no sweat.
