    Crows

Bill Butterfield had 95% of his y/b team killed by crows.... these were youngster out and about. They worked in a pair - or more. Totally distroyed his season and set him back a mite 2 -3 years down the line. Mind an injected egg or two lying around works wonders.
  2. Well Jim, you won't see the body and that's a fact. Convienently chucked overboard lol. How rediculous! But he certainly has rocketed up the popular polls eh!
  3. Strange you should know of this matey lol, as the USA received an airing in the American Spectator magazine earlier this year when former U.S. foreign intelligence officer and senior editor Angelo M. Codevilla, a professor of international relations at Boston University, stated bluntly: 'All the evidence suggests Elvis Presley is more alive today than Osama Bin Laden.' 4. Why does the Radio' crackle? Because of interference. But there wouldn't be any interference if transmitting from the moon to earth, so would be crystal clear. Futher Geo1234 how come - with no moon let alone a Sun do these fellows have two even three shadows at the same time? Could it be the staging Lights? Of course! There is far far more reasons for doubting the landing against NOT even one shread of Proof for it!
  5. Landed on the moon? May I ask you why a rocket needs a Launching station etc.?
  6. I knew it was reported and confirmed 5 years ago that Osama bin Laden died of kidney failure soon after the September 11, 2001, attacks. In 2002, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said bin Laden had kidney disease, and that he had required a dialysis machine when he lived in Afghanistan. That same year, the FBI’s top counterterrorism official, Dale Watson, said, “I personally think he is probably not with us anymore.†http://www.prisonplanet.com/osama-bin-laden-has-been-dead-for-years.html http://www.infowars.com/red-alert-government-had-osama-bin-laden-frozen-for-years/ http://blackhistory.com/cgi-bin/blog.cgi?blog_id=204421&cid=10 and one of thousands. http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&xhr=t&q=Bin+Laden+died+natureal+causes&cp=30&pf=p&sclient=psy&rlz=1R2GPCK_en&source=hp&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=Bin+Laden+died+natureal+causes&pbx=1&fp=7ef981bdeac04a96 But it does means now that the President of the USA from poor polls is riding high again. They will believe - like us following suit - ANYTHING fed them! No wonder the body was supposdly thrown overboard to sea.... Bet his family, that are constantly in touch and in the USA sell arms would have been pleased! The Bush - father was with the family doing and 'Arms Deal' with the Laden family when the Tower was struck... Made $27,000,000 in the next half hour.
  7. I'm sure he has sold out mate.

I agree ... And that's because he is a cheat! He was banned when no tournements of any value were about! Then allowed to play 'Exibitions' etc. as it was his living. A joke, a sad one granted, but he's a £million + man, and got nothing in regards punishment in reality for cheating and swindle the odds. Gosh Alex Higgins got far more for having a drink! And for tell a bloke to pee of! And for Ungentleman conduct! He would have been banned for life I reckon and NEVER allowed to play in any tournement for a very long time .... IF EVER!

I think the expierence told again here. No substitute for it. Both real class of course. Will Judd be another great, like White, never to win a World title. Feel he has a little more coerence with safty, than either the Great Alex and Jimmy White, so think that may well stand him in good stead. Like the commentated stated, 'He'd never seen a btter potter on the ball' than Judd.... and there have been some great at that too. Wish Judd all the best and every sucess. The game, like all sports etc. need the likes of these. Will pick the game up again I'd wager. Like the Ali's, bests, Milburn, Senner and the GREAT Alex Higgins who picked it up from the doldrums before, no two ways about that. Yes White also inflamed the game too... But Alex picked it up from by the scruff of the neck and put it back on the map! JMO
  10. Arrived this morning too! Along side the MNFC. one also.
  11. Over a million lining the streets! Street parties and nigh ALL clubs and pubs having something on for the day. Plus most were full and celebrating here abouts, and from the 'News' and paper reports likewise nationwide, so I think that that shows / proves the vast majority were interested in one way or another... and not just an excuse for a Pee up, as the regulars would be out anyway. JMO.

    Good on er George.
  13. Snap Kirky. Same lib South Rd. and a come back race on the North. Was toying with the idea, and handling the birds this afternoon - like everyone else I want them to be racing and going - then saw the trees bending a mite and cold gusts... thought it will be a darn site worse tomorrow, so they are staying put. Misses says to me 'Weer we have to go out in all weather, come rain or shine, snow and what not'! I said 'Agree most do ... you don't, but many do ...' then added 'Then we hear the moans and groans and whinges because you have the sniffles or colds, or flu and curse going out'! lol. Now having just reread this post I think 'Whatever processed me to even consider sending in the first place.... I'd be better of buying a pkt of Kellogs and cutting me own cards out, with the money I have saved by not sending lol
  14. Well Strapper, I see they had your Anthem too... But the reality is most are actually interested. Was suprised just how many were tuned into it this morning/. Could here it from nigh every house hold. Best thing is that - outside of the scavengers and parasites we fork out for - It is a very properous and well paying thing the 'Royal Institute'. It brings £Billins into our coffers every year.... far out wieghing the cost to keep them. Though personally I think only the direct family should be funded. I see pPrince Charlie pays his taxes, and income tax too. So he in real terms pays for himself. Will be a good King too, no doubt about that. Though I must say it is only the 'Anti's' that voice an opinion, the vast majority are silently happy with things as they are. Beside I can go out and clean the birds, or take them for a chuck, or even turn the flipping tele off if I so wish to!
  15. Exactly. will be plenty of 'Testers' with Lerwick - hardest race barr none in the UK - and Pau Tarbes as such. So to send a bird just to race is, and has been the downfall of so many. Sending birds not aclimatised and conditioned enough. Mine are still on youngsters, for instance. Why would I wish to cause stress and give them a hard time for nothing. Ok, if youngster were away in January, and in a heated loft to bring on condition, there maybe fora race of Merit I would send a few to keep in the averages. Yes have a few hens sitting a week old youngsters, and cocks driving to a Big youngster, so they could, nd would most likely perform well with creedance. But as I'm already out of the averages, and have other races in mind, I don't think I will send for nothing. South roaders would be facing a stiff to strong side wind, a cold bugger at that, and the North roaders would be far better suited from a side wind to one from behind, so if I go, it would be North.
  16. Well I'm 100% for the birds not being molly coddled. Likewise birds that are test on long and hard races are the ones that are the Building bricks, corner stones and foundations of every successful racing loft. That is regardless whether one wants the sprints, or Middle or distance team.... ALL come via these birds via means of testing! But that is a far cry from needlessly testing birds in conditions that are very uncomfortable and often with proven disastrous results. There will be very many testing and hard distance races coming each season to test their' mettle, to earn a perch, even a nest box. These birds that are not molly coddled, but given sensible races in realistic weather flown when they are in great condition. The weather has been slightly better thus far this season, but nowhere near enough sun on their backs to get them into top condition. Let alone to come through cold East winds without having a knock on effect. Yes of course they will home! Nothing more, and certainly won't 'Race'. So why would I, or any one else wish to needlessly chance their arm for a bit of cardboard and a pat on the back? Especially when 99% of the decent and best races to win are a while away yet. If I was interested in 'Averages' etc. then I might send a older pair or so ... But if I have a pair that I think will do me honour this week - end, then I reason that they will be all the better not going and doing me honour in a race bearing more credit. I personally never fly the first race or too so I am never tempted to chance good birds to win averages... Distance and Scottish averages! Now your talking and worth while, but of course they weather and hours of daylight deem it would be fool hardy to race these prestige races now... especially in cold strong East winds! JMO.
  17. It's as true today as it has always been 'When there's wind in the East, it's no good for man or Beast'. The ole timers, and the smart ones I'd wager today, just send ole hen's or cocks to keep them in the averages etc. Yearlings hate it. Many a good birds are lost in training in East winds, let alone racing (Yearlings!)... JMO and others expierences. Will I send this week? ... Well I haven't trained them this week, but may send a couple of pairs. They are coming into 'Loft Fitness' and will be looking at Dunbar shortly in the NRCC. Will decide on Friday.
  18. I think there will be at least 5 goals scored. Possibly 3-2 to Bacelona. But think strangely enough I believe it will be Real in the final. JMO.
  19. Nor me yet. Usually is a darn bit later on.
  20. Won't know till about the Tuesday / Wednesday NEXT WEEK if it's early... YES! the week after. An absolute disgrace how it is habitually late. It's a good job I'm not after birds / goods etc. in a hurry etc. Indeed I think I will knock it on the head. Have a feeling that they are trying to get everyone to order direct... Won't do that either as I like to support my local store, who go out their way to be obliging.... It's a pity the BHW isn't so obliging... indeed a disgrace. JMO . Phew the steam is still hissing lol.
  21. Remember a while back when this 'Derby' was so violent that some from Corby - Mini Scotland used to go down just to watch the fighting. Was a time when any Coach seen with the opposing fans on was severely battered. Can't say that it was my cup of tea though. Indeed it was the violence that stopped me, and Millions of others going to the matches in the early seventies. Now is the time to - Like Norwich V Ipswich that ANY violence meant both sides lost 6 points. Ok that would leave the door open when a side wasn't doing so well as their neighbours to delibrately start bother. BUT then 12 points away from a side lanquishing, or only mid table would have to be careful of relegation. Now as for the Celtic V rangers games, a lot more points to be lost would / could certainly mean St. Johnson , hearts etc. having a good chance of winning the league. Now that would shut them up... outside a few brainless morons and cretins...
  22. Just emptied me pockets ... better raid my piggy bank then lol
  23. What's Michael MacIntyre real name, and who was his father?
  24. Thought it was a waste of time and effort to have a manager for the 2 year span in the first place. Diplomacy is fine.... but we do need a leader and one ready to stand up and 'BE' for the sport... those paying his wages.
  25. Keep this in mind the next time you are about to repeat a rumour or spread gossip. In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom. One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?" "Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test." 'Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance. "That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" "No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it." "All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it’s true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?" "No, on the contrary..." "So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?" The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?" "No, not really." "Well," concluded Socrates, "If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?" The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem. It also explains why Socrates never found out that Diogenes was shagging his wife
