    Help

South Shields is in the Up North Combine - the stray centre is Hartlepool. Two further clubs in South Shields Central HS secretary R Peel 0191 423 3469 & Whiteleas HS secretary J Lodge 07903 415412 - I'm going from 2017 handbook as I have mislaid this years
  9. I personally think that is bad advice. Instructions are birds should not be vaccinated until 21 days for Columbovac and need to be 6 weeks old I think for Nobivac. They should have natural immunity until 21 days old from the parents

    Help

South Shields fed secretary is J Soderland tel: 0191 455 7417 mob: 07774 465513 who may be able to help
  11. It is a DEFRA requirement that all birds are vaccinated if they attend a 'gathering' of birds - that is a show, sale or race
  12. They're very fast today on the North East coast!
  13. Up North Combine - Oakham 8.20 - 9.40 and every 20 minutes in between
  14. Redcar Central Flying Club - 14 members sent 404 birds to Oakham (133 miles)
  15. I'll keep my eyes open - Wakefield is not one of our racepoints but I do have distances - 67 miles to me, I'll report back if I see anything on the coast It's ENE wind - so they will be inland
  16. Is it the weather? The time of year? Or have they been in somewhere and let out and headed home? A youngster missing from the first young bird race came home Saturday at 8.00pm A yearling missing from Ypres came home Sunday morning. And today at 12 - a youngster missing from a training toss in July - and not yet raced - came home full of corn
  17. It's a long shot - but join a facebook page called 'pigeon news results and sales the up north combine' - it has about 5000 members from all over the UK and plenty seem to respond to such requests
  18. I thought there was a club in Stanhope but I can't find it in the handbook. Tow Law HS secretary may know of a fancier closer tel: 01388 730089
  19. I wasn't able to do the birds justice the last 10 days, with both my husband and granddaughter in separate hospitals this last week/ 10 days the birds sadly have not been a priority. It was good to see 2 out of the 4 futurity pigeons we bred on the sheet though, even though we didn't win any prize money. Well done Terry on your winnings
  20. Leeming is 50 miles from Whitby. Whitby has a pigeon club I've pm'd you contact details
  21. I don't know what the winning velocity is - but my guess was the highest of all the guesses - and the winner of my section was 1497ypm - whether it is the overall winner I do not know, some sections have been slacking with their results - so the overall winner may not be known today
  22. I got one back yesterday from the first young bird race and today I got a yearling back, missing from the last old bird race end of July - Ypres - and he's fat!
  23. There is only about 500 in this race altogether as hibby said - if you liberate at that time - regardless of how many is in your race - it would be a disgrace
  24. Birds up at 7.40am in a West wind
