    Stray Bird

This guy was advertising birds in last weeks BHW,he might do your mate a favour, GEORGE BURNSIDE 01253 591242 or 07771 720363
  3. There were definatly less stores than last year but still enjoyed myself, booked in at the same hotel ready for next year.
  4. How old do you think the battery was that needed changing.
  5. Think you may have got it wrong there, the buttermilk will help the moult but they will moult the flights as well, but when using the darkness system they moult the body but not the flights.
  6. We use both in our club and to be honest I would sooner keep both systems separate, you will need to put all your information onto your speedy using the Bricon software after you can mark the birds etc.using the Unikon system with the lead that Bricon provides, most large organisations have the facilities to mark any system but it might be a good idea to check beforhand, with some you mark on your entry form what system you have.
  7. Means nothing until it breeds a winner, best of luck with him.
  8. Cant find anything on the website.
  9. Yes I had a look, birds looked fantastic, took a few out to have a look thought they were well overweight but I did finish up buying a hen,I thought that they would be selling for a lot more.
  10. Probably best to check out prices at Blackpool as there could be a rise in all of them, the last BRICON rings I bought just before Christmas were £1.20 each, the old type still being £1.10,UNIKON I believe are £1.50 each but can be as low as £1.35 if you by in bulk.
  11. I never say that one is any better than the other as they all basically do the same thing, what I would say is try and get your club members to all get the same, it makes things so much easier for the secretary and whoever is responsible for allocating rings and everything else thats involved.Try and get to some of the demonstrations that the various companies do around the country, then decide for yourself which system suits your needs the best.
  12. Not to sure of what the insurance actually covers as I said our club chose not to pay the £60,perhaps there is someone on here whose club as payed it and they could tell us whats covered.
  13. We are fully aware of that mate,we decided not to insure, each to there own.
  14. As I said insurance is optional but I would think that the eqipment wouldnt be cheap, there is no charge for the activation code I was sent our clubs by email, when you think the amount of these systems that are given out free I dont blaim them keeping a check on where they are.
  15. The insurance covers the eqipment thats on loan to the club, although its on loan if it breaks down the club is responsible for its repair, but you have a choice weather you have it insured or not,the activation code is given to the person whose name Unikon have on record as being responsible for it,this also tells them how many systems are out there and where.
  16. That is a insurance for the eqipment they loan you nobody is forced to pay it.
  17. Not stayed there personally but its a 4 star hotel, put it in your search engine tells you all about it.
  18. Have a look at BRICON probably the cheapest system and definatly the cheapest rings.
  19. Before doing any downloads you have to disable the USER ACCOUNT CONTROL on your computer,I have the full instructions here if you have any problems I will give you my phone number and I will talk you through them.
  20. We also have the same systems,we use a OKI B2400,got it from PRINTERBASE about £110 at the time. WWW.PRINTERBASE .CO.UK.
  21. What do you insure for Mick in your club.

Received mine through the post yesterday morning.
  23. Over the last couple of years I have bred 2 or 3 youngsters with no down at all, these have always turned out to be silver hens.
  24. Another one that does the trick is the body of a Bic biro pen, just cut to size with a small hacksaw.
  25. Now that the sites a bit busier I thought I would ask again.
