Could be members have entered rings in the wrong format,or perhaps clocks should have been updated first.Never been keen letting members put their own rings onto the clocks.

To transfer a Irish ring I would say you would have to get a signed Irish Homing Union transfer from the previous owner and send it to the IHU,if you just want to register the bird with the RPRA in your name you just send off the proof of ownership to them.

You are right in what you are saying that the 200 isn,t ready to take a pocket clock,I believe what you have to do is get in touch with UNIKON and they will give you a code to put in to make it work,I agree this should have been explained to the guy when the pocket clock was bought.

Depends on how much you value the birds,if you have the room for prisoners keep them in until you know how the youngsters have done off them.

The actual RPRA ruling on the positioning of the pads now is as follows,The positioning of ETS sensors/attennae will not be allowed on any landing board or other external surface in a position where the electronic ring can trigger the sensors before the bird is confined within the loft or trap,so what you are intending to do is perfectly o.k.as the bird is confined after it as been clocked.

We have both systems in our club but I always keep them separate,you can connect the Bricon clock to the Unikon with the free lead that Bricon supplies but to connect the other way I believe you have to buy the lead from Unikon.

Looks like people with Unikon clocks are in for another shock.
