Dont really watch it myself but I believe Cher is doing well,as she is from my area and I know her family I hope she wins.

Any idea of the classes etc.

Can anyone tell me if this is the correct info.about this show,still no advert in this weeks book,if my memory serves me right there was no advert last year until the weekend of the show which made it to late for me to organise anything.

Why use arches anyway they slow the birds entry into the loft down,after the landing imo the trap needs to be as open as possible,If you are using ETS I would just have bob wires for the birds to go through.

Have been looking at the adverts in the last 3 or 4 weeks BHWs from the above fancier,as he said money was no object when buying in the birds, must of spent thousands, but how did this guy do in the racing anybody know him.

I believe the one at Caerphilly (Penyreol)is on the 23rd October but seen no advert yet,would also like to find out whats on down that way over the winter as I usually travel down.

No but they do sell Fridays BHW on a Thursday to the ones who have it delivered.

Not sure about SHU rules regarding ETS,will agree Benzing were allways very good clocks still use my Benzing Quartz as a master timer in our club but not sure about their ETS system by whats been said on here they do not comply with RPRA rules.

You will save more money by getting it from Taylors Choice.

If you race under RPRA rules it seems that these systems do not comply with them though,do you have to write the racepoint yourself onto the race entry sheet,what does your club do about it printing 10ths of a second on the clocking in times ie 12.30.30.09,do you just ignore the 09 or round up or down to the nearest second.

Even a second can make a differance on a very fast close race,we set our ets clocks with a radio clock but they can still be fast or slow when chacking off.

I have heard of clubs that allways put there ets clocks and T3s down as correct when working out velocities but believe me they do sometimes comes off a second or 2 fast or slow,never had a ets as much as 5 seconds though.

You might be interested in this information reguarding the tenths of a second I have found out it says,DO NOT use the digit (ie tenths)when calculating the pigeons velocity,this is disreguarded,velocities can only be calculated using hours,mins and seconds,so I think this answears the guys letter in the BHW.

Perhaps Scottish rules are differant,problems never seem to arise until someone as a good pigeon in a national race or something like that then people moan when they get disqualified.

Is this the same as the G2 it was that one that someone said doesnt print the race point.

If that is so then the system doesnt comply with RPRA rule 238,your club should not have excepted this clock.

Can you please check the number again it should be something like GB10K 99972 seems if you may have got the numbers all mixed up.

ARE THERE ANY CLUB SECS.ON HERE WHO AS MEMBERS WHO USE THE BENZING G2 OR ANYONE WHO USES THIS ETS SYSTEM.

How did the G2 get approved then as rule 238 says that the competitors name,loft number,date and race point must be printed on the race entry form,also if people are rounding up or down the 10ths to the next second then this is also against RPRA rules,would be interested to hear what people or club secs have to say about the BENZING G2.

Was reading with interest a letter in the BHW about ETS printouts the guy was saying the BENZING ETS prints out the arrival times with 10ths of a second showing ie 10.30.30.5,could someone verify this,if it is so then how do you enter the correct timing into your race result programme or does yours take 10ths of a second,as he says could be the differance to winning or losing a very fast race if rounding up or down is required.

I believe the first year it was held at the Sobell Centre there were actually show classes but after that they stopped them because there was not enough room,perhaps bringing these back would create more interest,there must be other rooms there they could use,Strapper can you remember where it was held before Sobell they use to have the differant show classes in side rooms as you went in on the left.

Usually go down every year,most of the usual suppliers are there.
