Yes very well done to George and Brian both clubmates of mine. Iv'e handled their great hen numerous times putting her through the ringer one of the best iv'e handled from many lofts! She just ooses class! A pigeon that is well worthy of the title "Champion"!
Ur right Vinnie, some dont recognise these things though. They probably dont have a clue. They think the bigger the convoy the better the birds that are in it. :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:
Iv'e had a look at the Reims Gold Medal result now and would like to offer congratulations to the winner Lloyd Togneri Also all sect winners and all fanciers who made the result in a testing race with not the biggest of convoys these birds really have to work hard to get home. They do a lot of flying on their own as well and dont rely on company of other birds in a bigger convoy! Excellent stuff well done the Convoyer Mathew Boyle they have been well looked after and came home in very good condition! Heres hoping for the winner at the next event!
Well done to all fanciers timing birds from this race. It'll never be easy in these conditions i take my hat off to them. Some notable performances from some of the basics members also... Thats great to hear now we will get to hear how they were set up for the race etc. Good stuff guys hope some more turn up.
Very pleased earlier tonight at 6.48 pm got my 3rd bird home grom Reims giving me 3/3. However though on the downside he had about half a wing missing looks like percy has had a go at him blood everywhere :emoticon-0179-headbang: None the less glad to see him. Another one for next year. Hope some more work in and injury free too. Well done to everyone that got birds.
Well av tried a bit lol, maybe do a better next year, thought i could do better but theres always next year. Heres hoping anyway! Well done to all who had a go. :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137 -clapping:
Would just like to say a big thank youto the convoyer. The two birds i timed this morning were in very good condition after the near 570ml effort. Good stuff! :emoticon-0137-clapping:
Av been wondering what transporters are to be used for months. Why does it take so long to deside which ones are going to be used. Basketing is on Thurs and most dont know yet. Thev'e had long enough. For goodness sake how long do they need to make their minds up or is It a one man descision ?
Well done people, not easy a north east wind into NE Scotland, i will have to be careful when you guys next liberate in fife, in case the convoy drag my wee pals northwards leaving me no team left lol. :emoticon-0136-giggle:
