  1. Yes ur right Gareth I think a lot of us pigeon men have forgotten how to enjoy ourselves. More social events should be the order of the day :D :D
  2. Yup would have been two separate nights tae look out ur best shirts. That's what I should have said lol.
  3. Keep us posted on it Gavin.
  4. Yes thats true tiger they did speak about it at one point. Think it was a while ago though. At least they were communicating though!
  5. Sincerely hope the guys that are most interested get these plans off the ground and hope its a big success. Theres no reason why it shouldn't be, good luck and many happy returns with your birds. :D :D And For the chaps that started this thread as well, best of luck. will be interesting to see how things pan out for yous.

  7. Jamsie I don't think some doctors are up to speed. Some wouldn't even make good vets lol. Its been proven probiotics do some good, however not sure about ur wee skin problem m8. Can u not try some kind of oil or cream for it.
  8. If ur a current member of SNFC then you must also be an shu member automatically since you have to be a member of shu before you can be a member of SNFC. That's my understanding of it anyway m8!
  9. Yes MIK -, that's true the red pied cock Endurance still plays an important part in johns breeding programme to this day with his progeny still running through the loft, same as Wellbank Pride, Paris Cock, Patricia and many others. That's why John is hard to beat his loft inmates are steeped in long distance winners, generation after generation.
  10. Sounds like another good night out in Lanarkshire. Whats wrong wi yous guys along there do u no use yer dancing shoes anymore :D :D :D
  11. That's correct, I had all the old photos etc when I done a loft report on John a few years ago. Johns in his 80's now still a very good fancier.
  12. Nice wee dark ones probably my favourite colour. :) :)
  13. Not sure when Scottish fanciers last sent to Barcelona/Palamos with the BBC probably late 70's. some of the older generation might be able to tell you. Over a thousand mls takes a bit of doing.

Ye looks not bad m8! Sincerely hope u get the birds settled in again. Once settled its only matter of Time til u time in some winners in it pal. Hope ur 2nd at the first natioal we go to though. Lol.
  15. Yes Geordie is a gentleman . Met him at place a few years ago still a good fancier these days!
  16. Correct Del, seen all these delaying tactics before. They know in the end fanciers will switch off cause they cant be bothered with it nomore. Those tactics have been very successful in the past thats why they do it. Gives them longer to prepare and cover things up. They can pull the wool over some of the fanciers, but not all of them. Fanciers should be firm and not switch off. No good turning a blind eye it will only encourage them. Stand up to them and dont let them away with things nomore!
  17. Dont think it'll be to do with their fees. Should still be members for a few months yet and they should sstill be members of shu at least til 1st March.
  18. Turning into a laughing stock now eh!
  19. True STB lol.
  20. A least their definately getting their EGM!
  21. Yes m8 I can only think that it would help for future pigeons in National races. No real need for yearlings to be dragged all over the country. They would benefit racing into one county or thereabouts I would think. Yearlings from the west getting dragged up the east coast in Nationals is a no no for me. They will have learnt absolutely nothing I fact quite the opposite they would be learning bad habits and their confidence will be broken. imo
  22. yup that's true Vincent, Glasgow and maybe one or two other feds in the area. Just the logistics to work out with the embers and the respective Committees.
  23. Not a bad idea, think south Lanarkshire and Lanarkshire could have 2/3 good races together from anywhere between 200 mls and 400mls if enough fanciers wanted it to happen. Would cut transport costs down as well imo.
  24. Well Eby, I hope what ever National u enter you get some good time ins. Its not easy especially in Ayrshire. There's many disappointments in the long races, just have to keep trying til things click into place. Then when you get them clocked its worth all the hard work, planning, up early away training etc. Very best of luck to you and all fanciers for that matter in the long races in 2015. Lets face it we all need a wee bit rub of the green.
  25. Well fair enough John on the former, I know nowt about the latter part.
