Yup Great News!

The RPRA have been working closley with the EU/Deffra to get us UK fanciers racing again from the Continent. So we might here something solid in our favour in the next couple if wks. It's on the RPRA website so we should watch it closley with interest. This is at least some good news guys!!!

All the above might no matter so much now as theres now a possibility of getting into the EU now ie France/Belguim thanks to the RPRA. Let's see if this materialises fingers crossed!

Had a 3yo hen killed a wk past sunday and a ylg hen last night after saving a ylg cock which was nailed or should I say slammed into the front of the loft. I was only sitting about 12 feet away and went over with the hawk wrestling with it feathers everywhere and they both managed to whack themselves against a nearby metal bath sitting under a table. I have a 6 ft floor for a shed leaning on the table and the pigeon managed to get under there into the far corner just before the hawk was gonna nail it again but I got too close and the sparrow hawk yet again got away! I've had 3 other near misses with one hen out hiding all night. No matter what I do it's the same every year!

Roland yes you do make some valid points, fanciers realy should test their pigeons more. Some prefer to take an easier option. I have always admired the fanciers Who have continued to support these 600 + ml races. Their pigeons already come from established winning 500 and 550ml winning lofts going back many yrs!

Every interested member within Scotland should be able to Promote and support this 600 ml race no problem regardless of who they are affiliated to. I realy dont see obstacles but there are those who sometimes try to put them there to make things difficult. Everyone will save money from this (except Organiser)so it's a no brainer let's go for it!

Would like mine out earlier but as usual I'll wait til last wk in March or early April. Letting them out earlier I think I'm asking for trouble. Should get price here about end of april start of may then birds can go on open loft when not training. Hope this helps young/ new fanciers!
