I agree with budgie there's strong wind at west and here in the east there's 15mph wind on Saturday but calmer and sun on Sunday

I have a free section in the young bird loft I will convert it for the hens to live in there

So I should keep the cocks in the nestbox loft and the hens in the young bird loft?

That's what I thought they are doing it's heaps of feathers lol but they have eggs in nest will that not bother the molting?

Got question is can old birds go along with young birds when out flying round the loft? But then they both live in different lofts will they know which Ines to go into. I have so far always fly them separately. Thanks

That's the fun part of the pigeon hobby is seeing them coming home and clocked in I get a buzz from that.

Erm I'm new in this pigeon game please not scare newcomers in this hobby, we all try our best to get good numbers for racing as yes you do lose half after a season. IMO we breed pigeons to a good number and it balances out to the losses, only downside is expenses to chip rings, feeding and the loft upkeep also the doos but hey other hobbies cost money too (expensive golf clubs etc). We need to keep this hobby alive as pigeons have a good history and you never know there might be a time we need them for messages in war (if technology breaks down lol)

Sent 6 yesterday to Thornton Kirkcaldy and first one arrived 2 hours and 2 followed on 15mins after, the rest came late only 1 missing got a feeling it landed in Aberdeen again lol

Hi guys I'm new to the racing game now I want to ask if my doos are away but I got 1 staying home but she accidentally went near the landing board and set her number on it, will that affect the results when my others come home?

There was once a program that's shown years ago it's an animal welfare one, showing that some fanciers kill some that are no use to them, or tell people to get rid. Also about the channel racing some drown in the sea. Don't get me wrong I love this hobby and I care about the welfare of my pigeons and I would encourage new fanciers to care for their doos, hate the thought of killing I only kill if it's really sick and I don't kill healthy ones cos some babies from healthy ones can have good racing in them.
