  1. Oh dear get well soon Davy and I was just wondering that's all as I like to follow the north Scotland fed even I stopped racing
  2. What time did they liberated this morning?
  3. Is it not illegal to shoot a racing pigeon?
  4. So close I have lost 1 that's 42-- not 48-- and I always wing stamp them too before they racing but I'm finished now til next year
  5. Byproduct of a meal factory I wonder if they get mad pigeon disease hehe and turning orange!!! That's a new one
  6. So they just vanish in thin air lol
  7. Hi peeps I wonder what happens to all the lost pigeons we have that never got reported or came back, do they die or go wild with the ferals or live with someone else but never reported? It's a shame as I lost half my young birds but just makes me wonder where they gone.
  8. Yeah I was going to ask that too so interesting how people deal with this illness
  9. I have 12x8 2 section loft for young birds and got 18x10 but only 12x10 with breeding boxes, this shed converted but it's crap and rotting slowly looking to replace this one, now roughly how many birds I could have?
  10. I agree as I don't have the space for heaps of doos so I can roughly manage 50 birds split 25 yb and 25 ob, I have small garden so no space for fancy big lofts
  11. Don't like sending without training as my birds need to learn

    Loft

Still tempting as it's free but grrr at where I live also don't have big van or trailer oh well, I could have used the old floor of 2 sheds and yeah it said no dreamers lol
  13. Yeah my returns not bad considering I started with 9 pigeons at the beginning of young bird racing, now I have 6 with chip rings at home so they are now retired until next year also what if I don't want some cocks pairing up do I put them in with the young birds or seperate? E.g. I want to select some cocks for new season breeding and how do you pair with a selection? As going natural will muck up some bloodlines
  14. Sent 4 only 3 came back
  15. So that's 3 sections sorted and I will be racing the old birds to the breeding loft next year
  16. I know another topic but I'm still learning right I'm asking, I have 2 pigeon lofts in my garden 1 got 2 sections and the other loft got breeding boxes now that my racing is finished and soon be winter too, so I'm wondering I leave the cocks in with the breeding loft and the hens with my young birds in my 2 section but what happens for the new season? I put the hens back in with cocks? And the young birds become old birds do I put them in the breeding loft? I'm confused
  17. Well done Ian and the rest of us

  20. Well it's east wind this sat so I'm thinking of sending just 3 of my strongest birds for Arniston
  21. Hi guys wondering what is the best wind speed or direction do pigeons like? Thanks
