  1. Sorry I forgot to put the reason to us finding the problem. The counter outside number was badly written, 6's as 5's, 0's as 8's, etc, so we checked the other numbers to eliminate them to find the right dup, and found that that didnt help as all the last digit numbers had the same inside numbers.
  2. We once found that say the outside rubber reads 1234, inside 884, a rubber numbered 1224, 1244, 2224 etc would have the same inside number of 884. Was the same for all the 3's, 2's (would have the same inside number)...and the rest :-/
  3. A roast - with yorkshire puds! - is in order I think :) Happy St G Day!!
  4. Its free, but we ask for sellers to consider a small donation if they've sold off the site. Havent received anything from people who have sold off the site (yet..lol)
  5. Happy Birthday!! A big hand for our patron HRH Queen Elizabeth II, celebrating the big 80 today.

    NFC

I heard the outcome of the meeting yesterday was that the north road program has been replaced by two races from Sennen Cove in June, and other races once the channel is opened up again.
  9. Hope your on the mend soon Bill
  10. And free to sell them on here!
  11. If the youngsters are strong enough and old enough that they've been ranging properly, I wouldnt have any problem in letting them out on race day. Some of the best free training you can get However you;ll notice if letting them out early on (before the days race) that there will be one that returns home just when your racers are due, just to give the heart a little flutter..lol
  12. Thankyou for all your time and help too maddy
  13. I like weaning at 26-28 days, especially if breeding early with the frosty cold nights.
  14. I think its quite important for all organisations to get online, at very least they give a better service via being able to email them. Slightly more time and effort they can provide a good deal of information to members, and give details to recuiting new members. Fifer if you want some idea of the costs to forward to the SHU just let me know. I think they may be pleasantly surprised

  17. The loft and birds look great Bill
  18. This isnt a pigeon political issue, the restrictions issued by the executive are for pigeon fanciers as a whole. Anyone not complying... well it isnt worth thinking about!
  19. A list of restrictions for fanciers living in the Wild Bird Risk Area (which is the one; Forth Road Bridge to Stonehaven): http://www.pigeonbasics.com/news/news287.html
  20. It is one of the restrictions imposed on anyone within the Risk Area.
  21. The BBC: "A preliminary report into the death of the swan says provisional tests suggest the virus was very close to those found in wild birds in outbreaks in Europe. BBC Radio Four's Today programme was told the virus found was an almost exact match to that found in an outbreak in the island of Ruegen, off north east Germany, in February." I thought it strange that to say they found the bird in the water, they didnt have the risk zone up river, or on the other bank. Lets hope this was a swan washed in, and it can be kept as a single isolated case
  22. Whos racing tomorrow? Have the UNC gone?
  23. Appearing to do the right thing, I would say is doing the right thing Bang on, welcome to the forum Tico 8)
  24. I used an easybed type product called Just Wood which was also for horses. Found it ideal in my old loft, infact some sections still have a good layer, and its been off the market a couple of years now. When I got the new 'walk in' loft I gave it a try with the ybs, but didnt like it, tryed sand, didnt like that much either, so now with my racing loft 'walk in loft' I scrape the floors and boxes, the old loft, now for stock, still have the wood chip in and will do for the foreseeable, but I dont fancy getting the easybed, think it was about £7 a bag last time I looked, other was £2.50 a bag, same size :-/
  25. A Map of the 'Wild Bird Risk Area': http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Resource/Doc/915/0026441.pdf A Wild Bird Risk Area has been declared which stretches from near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire down to the Forth Road Bridge. In this area all poultry should be housed, and if this is not possible poultry should be separated from contact with wild birds.
