  1. A pic of the view looking south directly infront of the lofts. On a good day you can see Redcar beach to the south east, Middlesborough Transporter Bridge and the Riverside Stadium direct south, in the background are the Cleveland hills/North Yorks Moors. Might be able to see Roseberry Topping just on the photo. :) Oh yeah the fence (if you can call it that! - white tape) in the picture is meant to keep the horses out, but to be fair they keep the grass down ;D :X
  2. Update on the birds, Jim, yours are all still here, mind you one stopped off at Kelloe (10 miles away) a few weeks ago John, all are still here, and the latest couple have settled well in the middle section - not going out yet. Cut the food down when I got home (Mon), they were flying 10 mins, today they flew just over an hour and a half (5 days). Really pleased with them, well would be if they would trap up for me..lol Still their getting better, it'll be time before they get to know me. Couple of pics taken this morning. DSC00143 - Narrowly avoiding the wires. DSC00142 - Flying out.

  8. 2:20 lib, home at 5:20, 135 or so miles, so about 1300ypm 52/64 home when I left the loft I was at for the clocks at 6:20. Heard they were in at 5:24 other side of the town, which should be a bit faster. Anyone race this morning with South East Durham or North East Counties, what times were they doing?

  13. Bit confused. Whats this Wednesday race, a replacement for a Saturday we missed earlier this month? Cant see it being very popular for the working man then! Better keep my ybs in
  14. Are there any fanciers around your area which would let you muck in helping out with their birds. If you parents see how commited you are with these racers, and learn a bit more about the sport - you can tell them whats happening in the club, each week etc. - they may come around to the idea Also if you get a good mentor around about it may take some of the pressure off your parents if you can catch the odd training toss with them,,etc.

    AMTRAK AGAIN

Could do with someone setting up for Northern England and connect SPDS and PHANTOM FLYER up, have the whole country covered then.
  16. Not sure if I'm right in thinking that Tiny were rebranded other makers models, does it say who manufactured it Tammy? Do a search for them if you can find anything. Otherwise it maybe a good idea just to get a new scanner only about £30 now, or a bit more for an all in one printer/scanner/copier.

  22. I got the same email, havent been able to confirm or deny the news though. RPRA have a meeting with DEFRA 23rd May, if every other country is racing from France I cant see how they could justify not allowing us go over too; but....
