Seems that each winter takes it toll on the really old ones jimmy.,then if they make it they thrive again in the spring .

Not breeding off hens over 3 yrs old .."? Never heard of anyone doing this ,she is still young at 3 , to me your always looking for the hen that lays the GOLDEN EGG. , and try and manage her so she keep laying up to x12/13. Yrs old , many a top pigeon off (old) hens .

I'm not getting into it's not fair I stay west stuff , all I can say is the race that has prob the best returns overall is Ypres , is it the distance or is it the direction . ? My take on the later is , there is a high population of perirgrines all along the south coast , so every week through the racing season there is a slaughter of Pigeons , but where our pigeons cross the water from Ypres there is not many bops to contend with so most make it across thus most get home , this is the only reason I would vote for easterly race points ,not for overfly ,yes it's probably fairer to the west , but I don't care what direction we race from its returns. That I'm interested in , if u have a bad race the only ones happy are the winners , but if u have good returns then all are happy ,.

This is fact , I'm sure it was the Maidstone race . The whole clubs needs a kick up the ar se .

I would definitely do away with first inland race , Belgium for all races is a bit extreme . But I would vote for it . But wouldn't propose it .

If I was judging a show and came across say 4 top pigeons ,you have to pick your 1.2.3.4 , so if say 2 are right through moult and 2 aren't , then it's common sence to mark them down for be it flights half way up . A racing fret , an odd louse . But if one pigeon stood out and even if it had 2 or 3 to go ,then I wouldn't hesitate to give it first.

15/16 . . ? Why not , I had won many a first by that time with a few 1st Feds , oh and won quite a few shows as well .

expletive remove guys I was LANARKSHIRE FEDERATIONS race program meeting , not a joint meeting , they are the first to have a meeting and they have set a program, which I must say if we are to race down the west then I would go with it , well the later bit, so it's up to any fed that wants convoying to set there program as lanarkshires from. 200/250 miles on , as this is where we should all be looking to save costs jmho .

Great looking program ,and good that joint convoying is a possibility , only prob I can see is if we still go down the east , that will be decided at fed AGM .

Colin you don't have to resign from the snrpc like you do in the snfc ,just pay your money before a certain date each year .

Aye mate there always are .im just getting the feel how fanciers think of going to a race together before any AGM,s ,and hopefully they go and vote for it . Then as I say we can see what happens after that , I was very optimistic after last years snrpc AGM , when it was spoken about with a positive response from the members in the hall .

The point I am putting across John is getting the two together eventually , the longest race last two years with the snfc has been a joke going with English orgs , so would it not be beneficial to go together to this race ,on your own two races. But one lib ? It's a start that's all . Then ? Who knows , ps I couldn't believe the race /returns the snrpc got from Troyes with only 86 birds , and a lot never sent because of the prospect of only 100 birds or so from that distance.

That's all I'm looking at pal. Just a start ,maybe just maybe we could all sit down and talk ?

I think it's a start geo going to a race together , one lib 2 results , and most importantly one cost between the two .

1st of all I think most would want this to happen. I think the first step is to JOINT. Convoy to a race , think the snrpc are going to the long distance race again , it was said at last years snrpc AGM. About going to this race together ,, so do you think this could happen for 2014 , and maybe for more races in future , the end game getting back together ? Please don't spoil it with they done this and they done that ,crap .
