what kind of dog have you got,breed I mean?Many years ago I had a dog,which I got as a pup.It was a mongrel of the terrier type best wee dog I could have wished for,she used to go into the dookit with me and one one occasion,she went out of it with a squab in her mouth,unharmed,where i found her on the grass licking it.Anyway I digress;on taking her to the vet for her first injection,he almost laughed;mongrels have an immunity to all kinds of diseases,not worth spending your money on ,he said,so she got one injection and never again.I had her for fourteen years and finally had to say goodbye to her because of arthritis.A day I'll never forget. Maybe you have a pedigree dog,so this won't apply.I think it cost me £15 at the time but that was 1986

I agree with your idea John but it seems that nowadays if there is no money in it,nobody is interested.Some of the best doos I ever had were from old friends and cost nothing or a shilling,just to say I had bought them.

Don't think you have much to complain about.The government increased the tax on insurance last year,think it's some thing like 9% now,could explain £12 increase. Have had the experience of over inflated renewals this last few years,so just got onto internet comparison site and found much cheaper options.Used to be in Insurance business so know what to look out for. going by the average age of our club members,everybody remembers racing in the 50s from RENNES and NANTES when they announced just before the 1pm news that the pigeons had been released at maybe 5.45 or any such time from RENNES or NANTES.My old late pal J R Turner won NANTES in 1953 and John MacGilvray just up the road in Forth won NANTES twice in 1956 and 1958,long before EEC no problems.Doos were real doos in those days.
