  1. We raced from France long before we were in the common market and they basketed the same day as they do now so don't see the problem. You need a dog passport at present; my daughter who lives in the Irish republic has one for her dog, dont know if it's legal though because he's smiling,Ha Ha,just joking, you don't need a photo of the dog.
  2. Had one reported in holland one time, about a year after it was lost.I transfered it to the guy, but a few days after that ,the bird arrived home before the transfer was through, so I got in touch with the SHU and they cancelled it.
  3. Are these Australian doos?
  4. I fear youngsters are not interested; they are too far away from nature nowadays. Most kids, and not just kids wouldn't know a speug from a cotton shilfie or a stushie or a feltie. They only seem to interested in games on their computers, which involve shooting and killing.Maybe I do them a disservice, having always been a country boy,I couldn't get outside quickly enough, freedom, running home from school to change into my old togs, happy days!
  5. You will can start your own fed next year Good on you!All that good training with the midweek club
  6. Wish they would move to Carstairs Tam,we might get a wee bit of a drag!
  7. He's fitter than men half his age.
  8. Well done loon.
  9. You're having a laugh Tam!
  10. They need to go into another loft before you have any chance of them being reported. Many birds do not, but just scrounge in the fields to exist and with a bit of luck will turn up on their own days or even weeks later. These are the kind I would prefer.
  11. Glory ,glory to the hibees!
  12. Rashford would be the first name on the team sheet.
  13. Can see the day coming when they will get a basket to themselves!
  14. Brazilians were a bit jammy as well!
  15. I had a smart meter installed last year, thinking that it was compulsory. When the man came to do the change over, he asked me if I really wanted it.I explained the position, but he told me that I didn't need to take it.However as he was there I let him go ahead.I did not take the silly wee machine which tells you what you are using which seems to me to be a con. What can you do if you think you are using too much? switch off all your appliances! That was the case last year, whether things have changed I don't know.If it is compulsory the electricity company can force entry, but I doubt it would happen.
  16. Yes but so am I.I also have a 17 yo cock,14 yo hen,2 10 yos,2 9 yos, 2 8 yos, which take up space, but I am getting on a bit myself and wouldn't like my neck twisted.
  17. They have to if they want to escape being retail meat.
  18. I am afraid you are mistaken if you think aluminium crates are cool. The other week after basking the birds and waiting for the transporter,I just remarked to another member how much heat was coming off the crates. They are like cookers.Give me wicker baskets every time.Don't worry about them picking amongst the shavings. How often have you seen them picking about in the garden or fields, not knowing what they are ingesting. If they have any natural immunity they will be o.k.
  19. birds doing approx.40 mph.,quite a few missing at clocks.Personally had 3 missing.Got 1 at8pm ,hawks been active again, blood on wing and tail feathers missing, still 2 late breeds to come.

  21. Yes Thought something had been through them the way they arrived, very jittery on landing and took 2 or 3 minutes to trap.I had 10 out and got 2 within 5 minutes, then 15 minutes later got another. It was about an hour later before I had another 6 last 1 came between 4 and 5pm.All home thankfully. The rest of the boys also had quite a few missing at clocks, probably home now.
