I've been lucky since starting with pigeons i've always had back garden lofts.If i was to choose i would select the site which is more secure,or even the site with most lofts security/safety in numbers.Lindsay

I fly natural,today the peregrine took one of my hens,that leaves the cock with a pair of twelve day old young birds.Will he rear them or would they be best moved under another pair.The problem is any birds with young have two in the nest.Lindsay C.

Get yourself some Harkervit plus or some other sort of electrolye and put it in their water for a couple of days then every third day once the droppings have sorted theselves out.Lindsay C

Do you think that over the years fanciers buying the continental style loft ie.perspex windows etc has contributed to ybs.Years ago all lofts in this area had wire net windows doors all open to the elements.A Welsh lad that moved to the village his loft was built completely of louvers with only the floor and roof solid never any problems then.

Thanks for info on ybs.my young birds are cleaned out three / four times a day i think it keeps them tame,the lofts are sprayed with virko s,the drinkers cleaned regular with domestos.I get ybs every season how does that lot work.In my opinion ybs is a virus on its own there is an underlying problem but i think that it is caused by the sickness(weakness),be it canker ecoli or any thing else.

Things don't seem to be going too well in our club as with others members are getting less every year.If i was to pack in with racers what would you fanciers advise me to start up with in the Fancy pigeon line and the reason for it.I would like to be able to let the birds out each day,i think that's a part of keeping birds.
