I think it would and is virtually impossible to vaccinate all hens or any other birds in Europe whether egg layers or table birds and can you imagine the cost ,in my opinion fowk in that industries would break the rules,in our case i think the pigeon fraternity do there bit and are easy targets for collecting the revenue.

Thrush i thought only happens with the over use of antibiotics ,or the long term use of said antibiotics,so that being the case why over dose then what you would then give is a composition that helps the build up of good bacteria in the intestines IMO.

Mine are never split ,but nest boxes get closed ,another section next door the birds have access to has perches ,when cleaning i remove any eggs that appear in corners during the non breeding season ,i just opened boxes at the weekend there ,what i was getting round to saying what i find was that the birds actually stop laying eggs themselves for a period without my intervention ,I do not profess to be a great doo man but under these conditions they decide.

I like them to get out when weather ok ,have them shut in for a few weeks now got a bird hawked last week had to dispose of it still a bit sick about it realy .

Very windy here during the night and heavy rain ,hope the buckets nae full of water heard the lid flappin about ,its still blustery and gusts just now, hope damage nae to bad for those farer south and more exposed .
