good fanciers have proved down the years that good fit pigeons will win on any good clean grain if your winning with what your using then thats the stuff to use someguys would like you to think feeding is a big secret to let you think they know something you dont feeding is another unproven theory someones opionion because there getting good results feeding a certain kind of grain and another good fancier can be getting great results feeding something very different which stands it all on its head the only proven fact is good birds and good fanciers will win on any good grain no matter what type it is

good stuff alan had a wee peek in on monday aft noon when i was working looking well m8

widowhood flyers are breaking there birds down neil thats a different ball game m8 but other widowhood guys dont break them down and win just as much i dont see any need to continue to break birds down on a weekly bassis hours on the wing will do that and a good mix of grain will build them back up after a hard fly but i know very little about widowhood and would not want to break my birds down and its not done in any other sport i know of its all about building up not breaking down imo but everyone to there own

when i bring in these old stock birds they are treated the same as the rest of my birds only difference they have 2 years in a single section and paired to diff cocks or hens to find out what mate they produce the best youngsters with if after 2years they have not bred anything of worth they are disposed of no matter how much they cost if the breed winners or good yb with a certain mate they are then moved to another stock loft with that mate and left together in the 2 years breeding in the single sections i will breed 28 to 34 yb off the stock bird with diff mates then train hard and race hard to find them out buying a proven pair of stock birds is different you dont need to look for the mate they produce with but when your looking to find your best stock pairs i think my way is the best and ive tried them all and all my birds have great pedigrees because thats the way i breed them every bird in my loft has 2 to 4 national winners in the pedigree so if i get a winner its always very well bred and so far it works for me
