  2. got mine at lidil 10 years ago lindsay outdoor type still going great got them all over my place the picture comes up on my tv when any beam is broken think they only cost 25 pounds when i got them can even sit in the house and watch the birds come from races on my tv if i wanted great buy the only draw back is there black and white but i can live with that
  3. only if it works wull lol
  4. happy birthday billy
  5. pete another thing you can do to give you more room is cut out the size of your nest boxes in the wall if you have the room behind and sit the boxes in flush with the wall not only does it give you more room it looks better to 14 or 16 inch deep for the boxes is ok for you starting out m8 good luck with it
  6. your turn will come m8
  7. thanks pat well thats them in there boxes everything seems ok just now the fun starts tomorrow when i open the boxes lol but some fantastic pairings that ive studied all winter
  8. got to be done george no work no doos m8
  9. i dont walter why should someone not get the use of them its the fact that it can be abused i dont like m8 there should be some way to police it imo
  10. thanks george same to you m8 we can only try pal you not working today
  11. im going to pair my 2yr olds and 3yr old latebreds today just leaving the 8 pair ive picked to go to the gold cup and maybe the 600 mile race which is the same day as ypres never been to this race before in my 50 years keeping pigeons but only one way to fined out if they can do it the reason i have not sent before is the fact its nearly allways a two day race and when birds have to sleep out theres a lot of luck involved in where your bird sits down for the night and how long it sits in the morning i much prefer a race where the winning birds can get home on the night also i never thought i had the birds before so it will be something new to look forward to need to get some tips from big dell lol but if i do send ill be sending racers and not plodders so a learning curve for me and hopefully the ypres race the same day will save me getting bored sitting about for two or three days without seeing a bird coming ill pair these birds late march and see how it goes nothing ventured nothing gained eh
  12. i and we are going there with ybs this year tam just hope we get a break from the east winds m8
  13. as a rule yes but my 2yr old latebreds need to do the coast first gogga or inland national i dont send them to 500 miles till there 3 yr olds as a rule but all my 2yr olds and older will go to 500 miles but if i have plenty yearlings and one is sticking out for ypres or clermont ill send it same with 2yr old latebreds maybe to ypres
  14. not saying you cant try an odd one you think is right and sticking out i was lucky last year with one but fail to even get them home most times
  15. it should only work with the loft no the rings are reg to on club base station imo lindsay
  16. bang on lewis
  17. what club you in rolldown
  18. waste of time m8 the only thing thats going to help is if fanciers get togethere and move them on
  19. no m8 150 to 180 miles with them 4 or 5 races there only babies treat them like yb ive sent them to 260 miles and won with them but lost many i find there better birds the following year after just 4 or 5 races the first year then out to the coast as 2yr olds many scored in the inland nationals for me last season and will go to 500 miles this year
  20. the coast at least no matter what the system
  21. im not saying that lindsay im saying they should not be able to be reg to another fanciers bird without the owners permission simple m8
  22. if you have latebreds m8 they must be trained or they are no good to you you just have to put up with the bop or move them on like i do ive had 12 tosses with my latebreds 3 have been taken so far and i expect to lose more but thats how it is now you will get 2 maybe 3 tosses then hit so move the birds around when your training them you dont have to go to far 12 to 20 miles is enough to wise them up then into a training van when they start
  23. walter i know what your saying m8 but its the fact that it can be done without the owner of the rings permission im against as it lets the bad guys away with stealing them
  24. found rings should be handed in to shu or rpra ets rings should only be able to be wiped bye the fancier who owns it imo this would stop the theft of rings from birds
