i wouldnt use mesh in the loft as birds tend to climb on it and it wastes their tails better off with thin straps of planed timber or dowels hope this helps atb

Pete the first winter you have the ply will delaminate as plywood nowadays is crap t&g all the way or sheet the loft first with osb boards then clad with t&g jobs a good un atb

theres some hair brained ideas on this thread anyone thinking of changing your routine or breeding patterns will have an effect have lost it as were talking about some of the most skilled hunting machines on the planet theyll get by no probs without racing pigeons theyll just take cushies or feral doos or any other bird if their hungry

I can't remember the last time I gave my birds any sort of seeds for condition or trapping there's no need for them just a waste of money one word or whistle from me and my doos are scrambling to get in and their never hungry either better keeping your hard earned in your pocket omo

ive said it for years the fund raising sales etc could be better spent imo its an easy fix if everyone that could help helped after one seasons training and racing it would make some difference and it would be on the six oclock news lol but itll never happen

think were going off track here thers a big difference to birds returning without a ets ring to a percys nest being emptied of which could have inexcess of 200 ets and life rings all mixed up this could take some amount of time to sort out who they belong to and posting them back to their owners the life rings are easly put in the bhw as for the ets rings am sure the owner wouldnt want the hassle of sending for it so crack on walter and reuse them i would and remember and publish the life rings as its nice to know where they go ps theres some miserable gits in this game lol
