Location and drag defo at the ybn but at 500 plus am not so sure even inlands look at this year only two birds took advantage of the wind at Newbury mine and yeboahs and Karen Newcombe had no right in being fifth open but was as she had her doo bang on so where was all the Lanarkshire and ayrshire doos it seems to me when the wind suits us over here at any distance we don't take advantage and the likes of the house hold names like bosworth ,duthies etc etc are still beating us when they shouldn't be and when the wind doesn't suit us over here were miles behind and the east side take the advantage you just need good doos and if the winds in your favour hopefully your doos take the advantage omo

First time for me at the dance and thought it was a great night hotel was good the food was descent considering the amount they were catering for only down side was the prise of the swally but hey ho once you've had a few you don't think about it lol it was a proud moment for me getting piped into the hall and also picking up my trophy especially when you looked about the hall and seen past and present national winners galore that's the pinnacle of the doo game as far as am concerned lets hope at some point am lucky enough to win something else

Central marking would kill national flying for me am struggling ti get to the station at killie anD its only ten mins away long live the killie station as for dropping the inlands check the birdage for them compared to the chanel races and it tells its own story theirs plenty like the inlands when you consider the farcical 500 ml races in recent times who can blame folk as for sections a couldn't care less what one am in as the aim is to win the open and no the booby prise omo

John I was under the impression all this talk about going together and speaking to officials of the relevant Feds the races that were to be combined would of been a joint decision but I've obviously picked it up wrong personally I like the program yous have decided and would like to be racing along with yous as this is th route for west sided Feds atb for th coming season

To be honest I thought all the Feds that were mentioned would of had an input into the program or the races that were to be competed in but looks like Lanarkshires ruling the roost and that will put guys off straight away however I hope it works as its the way forward over this neck of the woods atb

I know what your saying Stuart 100 per cent I just feel at times for the winners as they seem to be over looked at times because of their location and the doo that's 3rd or 10th are the heroes anyway let's hope for west domination in the coming seasons

Without a doubt a top doo man but do you not think that's disrespectful to the guys on the east saying if this guy or that guy moved over there they would win its only ifs and buts Stuart the guys over here need to step up a gear as you said earlier most are beaten before they go far too much negativity over here imo

Am relatively new 23 yrs in the game but not the nationals I personally would class the likes of hodgeson,virtue,Elliot ,bosworth etc etc guys that's had multiple national wins that's good flyers and with the amount of lofts this side of the country you would think there would be more guys like the afore mentioned we can't keep blaming location and prevailing winds that's my point am not trying to take anything away from anyone it's just something that puzzles me that's all

Stu I can't think of 20/30 good national guys in the west how many times has the snfc been won into the west in the last 20 years their all on the same lorry and heading home when you think two of the biggest Feds are over here its poor even when the weather suits this sides found wanting all this mince about letting a paper bag go in France and it'll end up up the east coast is a get out clause imo different with the ybn but at 500 plus it's just gid doos as there's no batches piling up the east coast just loners. I find it strange when people clamber for doos at sales that's from lofts that's getting on the result into the west and snub the doos that's actually winning due to where they stay personally I'd rather have them off the winners as their the best the results prove it and if you fill your loft way doos that just make the result that's what you'll only breed its just a thought and maybe us over here just need to raise our game any thoughts ?

This year I only won seven races three or four down than the norm but made up for it by achieving my dream by winning the national my young bird season was rubbish after getting tanked at my first two tosses I never recovered as for next year I would like to time from 500mls plus on the day that's my next target am aiming for as just now its my Achilles heel so roll on the breeding season I've already been looking at some pairs lol desperado

My solution would be forget the ybn in the west Lanarkshire ,ayrshire ,Glasgow ,solway .have an amalgamation for the young birds from Cheltenham I think this would be better supported than the national and a good gamble as well with far better returns as well as for the ybn ill never be at it supposing I had 100 young birds left as it learns them sweet fa I only enter races I can win no point in entering something you can't win omo
