Andy that's not pigeon racing that's just crazy imo. There been birds timed into ayrshire from over a thousand miles quicker. No disrespect to the guys that got them surly now you'll realise why the north road guys don't support this race pigeon suicide imo

Thanks for all the comments guys much appreciated its not sunk in yet I can't believe it. Would also like to say well done to all that timed and the section winners well done all. A wee mention for a couple of guys firstly jim Cullen for supplying me the parents I've been been winning with Cullen doos for a decade and special mention for my big mucker tam blair for all his advice on conditioning ,motivation ,feeding etc thanks again and all the best for all who enters for the coming nationals cheers

What nightmare Derek at least you've got the memories of all the times you clocked him what a topper of a doo am sure you'll have his off spring in the loft that can step up to the plate and who knows maybe even go one better than there old man atb

There not called homing pigeons for nothing there basic instinct is to home whether there fast or slow they should home back in the day if one was missing in came in two or three day later skint where it had knocked a wire now there's thousands going missing every year

One of my mates rings Percy's he's high up in the bto and he tells me a pair rearing young will take at least 300 pigeons that's a fact so like where I live I know of at least 12 nest sites do the maths it not rocket science

When I started the doos in 89 even the rubbish came home just later or they were on the darter in the morning seldom happens now as there scattered to the four winds way the bop its gradually getting worse every year nothing to do with the sun and the moon ,mobile fones etc get it into your heids its the bop end of and it will only get worse for instance you take your birds a 20 ml toss ten times no probs then next time you go get home not a bird to be seen then one then a couple by the next day couple down and birds look pumpit its not because someone's made a fone call or what ever other nonsense that's goin about its the bop and if your doos are getting spooked 200 mls from home and there left on there own it's a 200 ml single up way a spooked doo that's the problem I've seen it too often that's my rant over all the best everyone at the first national
