How come with all the viruses going arround pigeons including pmv the falcons or hawks dont come down with them...also the amount of meds going into birds surely should affect birds that keep eating them....I read an artical about vultures in india that died after eating old cows that had died and been treat with volterol for arthritis. Afected them after ingesting it over a certain period of time.

Two deaths over here in Ireland R.I.P to both of them......was rough this morning trees down, flights diverted and building damaged.

Yes and take small youngbirds aswell.

Another turned up next morning so dropped 4... We made the club result 3rd from 280 odd birds. We are at about 157 miles this weekend and have arround 35 / 36 for it...leaving a couple of hens home that are eggy.

Sent 43 birds 152 miles dropped 5 in a strange race........all these had the first 3 races and 6 races as ybs.....

Great post............starting later would also cut down on sparrow hawk attacks around the loft.also true we get much better racing weather in september and october...start in may finish late october try it for 2 or 3 years.....

Disappointed no more turned in yet....just need them to fly 2 mph faster to get on the result sheet lol...roll on next week 152 miles.

Sent 46 to their 3rd race of the season about 125 miles....wind on their nose all the way....going to be very different to the first two 75 mile races.

With all the goals Liverpool have scored Im sure they will get a few tonight...The biggest danger is letting Roma score an away goal...going over to Italy without conceding is there best chance....Be great to play Bayern in the final.

Andy i sent 49 back to thurles (75 miles ) and have 46 home so far including 3 unraced or trained 3 yearolds..still a few mins off the pace but birds getting fitter each race.

Andy after losing 6 around the loft to the sparrow hawk and having to keep them in for a week i wasnt sure about jumping the birds straight in to their first race.Id been getting them loft flying again for over an hour so took a chance.

31 BIRDS BACK OUT OF 35 SENT A FEW MINUTES OFF THE PACE HAPPY ENOUGH.

How long arround the loft should they be doing prior to a race say of 75 miles...all birds raced as ybs out to 150 odd miles.

Has anyone on here just flown their old birds arround their loft and not trained them at all before sending them to a race.

Thurles on the 14th april 74 miles...............wont be going to this one.

ive never seen them come in a cool pack.....

From the lab to the fancier these vacines can go through 3 or 4 people, how will you ever know if someone took it out of the fridge for any lenght of time unless you buy it direct from the lab you can never be 100% sure it has been stored at the correct temp all the time....also some vacines have a shelf life of just 3 hours once opened.

Id love to have a go racing north rd from scotland into Dublin but no north rd clubs in Dublin, as for racing lerwick id be trying girvan ,strathavan or thurso first....
