hi jim, I bought them from a guy without seeing them properly just a bad photo i got them delivered up on the day...id assumed at this time of year they should be like diamonds. they have 1 and 2 flights to go each........ive treated for the usual and jabbed them plus given 2 baths...slowly coming round but not much weight on them.

anyone else want to tell me how to bring birds into condition

A question for the experienced fanciers............I have just bought 2 hens and when they arrived they were not in the condition i would have thought they should have been in....in no way would i put these in with my own birds at the moment...what would you treat them for and how would you bring them back into condition.these are 2008 birds.

if you bid on elimar and win can you go collect the bird yourself..........some of these couriers charge nearly what some birds make themselves.

Do the top sprint flyers treat on a weekly basis or as ive been told only give their birds food and water no treatments what so ever..........

So most dont get their birds tested and dont treat....is it any wonder there is heavy losses due to ill health...or am i missing something

I know a lot will be horrified by this but that's the route we go down and we won't deviate just the way we keep doos good luck in your own methods thanks

with out going into feeding changes etc if the bird cannot fight any infections own their own then worse case they will die.natural restisance and general resistance if it's not evident then there week i suppose if everyone thought this way we would have a lot healther birds all round...years ago birds were very rarely treated .if they didnt get better on their own they died.

a few years ago i was also told to use virkon s in the water...............had my birds tested sent loads of antibiotics didnt work then told to use the same antibiotics again... in the end i got the black bag out and solved the problem myself.

How many fanciers get their birds tested a few times a year as part of their health care program..and who do you use to do the tests and are you happy with the results given to you.

yes there will be youngbirds for sale in blackpool.. a dutch guy sells some every year.

how many birds are on the transportor for this race.

all going well with the wsw wind you should get them just over 3 hrs 30 min for 200 miles
