bigger membership larger birdage means just that. numbers in no way reflect the quality of the contents of the baskets. this implies competion is totally dependant on quality, nothing else but quality.

"Done wrong !! you walked out of the greatest distance club in Scotland" and ignored democracy. three inland nationals less than four hundred miles would suggest this comment is somewhat off the wall. maybe in more ways than one? in what democracy does a minority vote win the day gareth?
  5. the problem for the people who administer the feds is balancing reality with expectation. many organisations have over the years been able to subsidise longer races with the profits from high birdage from earlier shorter races. unfortunately this is now not possible for many small feds. controlling costs is an extremely difficult excercise.
  6. i think the £100 includes 10 training tosses and all fed race races out to around 300 miles. 10 tosses alone would cost at least £50. no matter how many birds you send. if you go on your own how much for 10 tosses not counting time.

before this meeting can anyone give me an example of when a fancier was debt suspended by the snfc for failing to resign and not paying the following year.

maybe a lot in what you say chairman, but i think we should also ask what the early founders would say, when fanciers of long standing the likes of dennis dall, john ellis, peter virtue, jim benvie, john proctor, pete patrick, kerr stainthorpe, stuart mullan, davie elliot, ken buchanan, wilson and jack, and many others too numerous to list, decided to walk away from the snfc. for anyone who is thinking in any way they must ask why?

i am all for airing grievances and i fully support your right to have your say. i find it strange though that certain people only react when it suits. the secretary of the snfc and the senior vice president sat in on a meeting that banned me for ten year for using less destructive language than has been directed at the snfc president and pro on this site. that is my point.

unbelieveable that members can ridicule and label the committee or leaders of the snfc as being "crap" on this site and the powers that be say nothing. a forum open to worlwide viewing. this not the first time either. fairness and equity seem to be selective depending on who is involved.
  11. main stumbling block is neither north south east nor west. the rule that limits membership of snfc to members of the shu. caused the split, maintains the split.

anyone with a loft located within the boundaries of scotland is eligible to join the snrpc. this has always been the case. no changes or votes needed.
  13. until people who are infinitely more expert than we are affirm that repeat vaccination is a waste of time no one is in a position to do anything other than make assumptions which are often founded on thin if any facts. all we have to do is look at situation that has developed regarding the tripple mmr vaccine. we should leave well alone until better informed and better advised in my opinion.
  14. how many people are offered and take the flu jab every year? cholera is an annual jab. many jabs are annual and will continue to be it is common. rabies jabs take around 18 months to cover the course and further boosters are required. lock jaw jab requires updating regularly. why is it the pigeon fraternity think they know better?
  15. members of the forum have a choice what to do. this has always been the case. some people only feel comfortable in posting when not having to put their name. it is worrying that some people always immediately want to ressort to banning others. this is a free and open forum it should stay that way.
  16. "yes gareth where do we go after the rule book is in the bin? (rednyellow) answer dumbarton / west of scotland club.
  17. stuart mullan port glasgow.
  18. you are a top reporter jimmy.
  19. bird could be dehydrated.
  20. john mcneil is well ther in snrpc.
  21. aquare peg no need to become aggressive. how do you know what attacked was a peregrine thats what i am asking. you will have to allow me the some room here as i fail to understand most of your post. are you saying that the convoyers were mainly concerned with getting home and not paying attention to the liberation. or are you saying that regardless of attacks the convoyers wanted home and continued about their business. finally i am a bit puzzled are not all human heads made up of bone? strange one!!!!
  22. i think there are peregrines every where. the proven facts state that while this is the case there are much denser populations down the old routes. the racing that the few feds who persist in going these routes have had answers all the questions. thats all i am saying. if people want to go these routes that is their choice.
  23. philip lynch is a medical doctor who keeps pigeons and is no authority on predators. the authority hired by the shu at a significant cost was doctor andrew dixon a well know and respected authority on such matters. doctor dixon reported that the incidence of predators on the old routes being flown by the scottish fancy are home to the heaviest population of peregrines in europe. he made a good number of suggestions on action fanciers could take. most of these have been ignored. one of his major findings was that if we continue to race down the old routes we will continue to loose most of our pigeons to the predaotrs. no matter what anyone says the facts back these reports. any fed racing the old routes have experienced significantly greater losses than those racing the easterly alternative. other than one fed all other feds have changed back to the easterly option half way through the season.
  24. Derick i am not hell bent on nothing. i post facts for all to see. the current secretary of the snfc presided at the meeting that initiated the 10 year ban on me. the senior vice president was attentdant at that meeting and said nothing. i was involved in the snrpc transport when the person who proposed my ban won an snrpc inland national. gordon bought a yb from his pigeon i fed and watered it on a few occassions. while i accept i have no love for these individuals or the organisations they now drive please do not attempt to hood wink people with the idea that i have one agenda. the thing that is keeping the two nationals appart is the example being handed down from the ruling authority in scotland. the snfc now is setting the same example where there is open criticism of elected officials on forums like this and nothing is done. this does rile me a bit. i was banned for ten years for doing exactly what you and kirky club are rightfully doing, refusing to go down the west route. as to agendas i think we all have our own agendas you included. we are free to make a choice and give our support to whichever individual or organisation we wish to. that is the way it should be. i am confident that example being set by the snrpc will encourage more and more people to join. that is my opinion and i am entiltled to hold. people will be joining the snrpc if they want to move into the fututre with confidence. whether anyone agrees or disagrees with this is irrelelvant as i am entitlted to hold my opinion. as an individual i think anyone who knows me knows i am much more capable than having one agenda.
