  1. APPROX 300 BIRDS WERE LIBBED AT 07.00 INTO A VERY LIGHT S/W WIND AND 75% BLUE SKY , THEY ALL HEADED NORTH TOWARDS THE A1. WIND SPEED EN ROUTE LOOKS TO BE LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL FORECASTS BUT THERE SHOULD BE NO RAIN TO HAMPER THEM, ATB TO ALL COMPETING AND BIG THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO DAVIE OUR DRIVER WHO HAS DONE HIS USUAL STERLING JOB AND ALSO THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE GIVEN ME HELP WITH FORECASTS ETC THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

  9. Let's look at it another way Phil,how many races have you managed this year and how much did you spend at each? Give me as good a guess as you can,add on your membership fee and I will do projection based on all members having made the same monetary contribution. Obviously any funds raised by those in charge would have to be subtracted and if we want to get the real picture then all the unpaid work by those with nae cahoonies would need to be factored in.   10. The folk that do race the programme are the ones who pay,just how short do you think we should go ? Put in a proposal and see how much support you get,season ends quickly enough every year as it is,to be blaming those in charge is a delusional
  11. approx 850 birds were libbed at 08.00 ,brilliant sunshine, no wind, they broke into two batches and cleared north straight away atb to all competing

    If you work it out for the whole UK then probably over 50,000 a week during the season go missing , many to hawks and many to the weather but most cos they are just not good enough or not in condition for the task

  15. before i go any further i would like to belatedly thank alan for posting lib times last week, many people have pmd me asking me to express their gratitude so thanks alan great to see you taking an interest this late in the season for you !! APPROX 1000 BIRDS WERE LIBBED AT NOON , 75% BLUE SKY WITH A VERY LIGHT WEST WIND , BIRDS BROKE INTO 3 BATCHES AND ALL WERE GONE NORTH IN LESS THAN 2 MINS, ATB TO ALL COMPETING
  16. as per the forecast weather is improving and is perfect here , visibility better at lib just some drizzle, next message 12.30
  17. weather at this end is crap but not so bad at lib point and clear to the west, bbc forecast has it clearing from 10 am onwards next message will be at 10.30
