forecast for sunday changes on an hourly basis have sorted it with the driver so that we can have a Monday race if needed but will leave it till 10am tomorrow for a final decision
I HAVE VERY SERIOUS CONCERNS ABOUT VISIBILITY UP IN THE PETERHEAD / BROCH AREA FOR SATURDAY UP UNTIL 1PM AT BEST, SO IN THE HOPE OF CONTINUING OUR GOOD START TO THE SEASON I AM PUTTING BASKETING BACK BY 24 HOURS. FORECAST FOR SUNDAY IS MUCH CLEARER WITH A LIGHT W/NW WIND FORECAST SO IF THAT STAYS THEN WE SHOULD BE OK. HOPE EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE TO SEE JOE MURPHYS PHOTOS OF OUR LORRY AND LIB AT THORNTON LAST WEEK, A REALLY GOOD ONE OF ONE SIDE OF THE LORRY JUST PRIOR TO LIB AND ON THE OTHER HAND THERE WAS ONE O DAVIE TOO!! NEXT UPDATE 7PM ON FRIDAY
THIS IS MY HOBBY AND AS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY STATED I AM NOT LETTING IT BE RUINED COS I AM RACE CONTROLLER. AS YOU ALL KNOW I INFORMED OUR MEMBERS THAT ANY FURTHER POSTS BY THEM ON OUR RACE DAY THREADS WOULD RESULT IN ME NOT USING THIS SITE TO POST OUR LIB TIMES, SO APOLOGIES BUT IF YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN THE BIRDS WERE LIBBED USE THE LIB LINE. THIS YEAR I HAVE SEEN ONE MEMBER USE HIS CLUB RESULT THREAD ON HERE TO CLAIM THAT RACING HAS BEEN-- ANOTHER SHAMBLES--ON AN S.N.F.C. THREAD PRIOR TO THE YPRES RACE I AGAIN FIND I AM GETTING SLAGGED OFF AND NOW APPARENTLY I AM NAE LOOKING AFTER THE WORKERS SO ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !! ATB TO ALL COMPETING AND HERES HOPING FOR GOOD RETURNS AGAIN
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY, APPROX 1675 BIRDS WERE LIBBED AT THORNTON AT 07.30 VERY LIGHT WESTERLY WIND , DRIVER SAYS IT WAS A PERFECT LIB AND ALL BIRDS WERE GONE WITHIN 2 MINS ATB TO ALL COMPETING
basketing is going ahead as normal, STRICTLY 27 birds per crate, with the possibility of some real heavy rain moving west early afternoon first message will be 8am
Dunno why you think north east had a bad one,we have had a cracking start to the season, and same as Alan said about inverurie stands for the Keith area rain and poor visibility at 8am
WEATHER CLEARED QUICKER THAN EXPECTED AT THIS END SO 1640 BIRDS WERE LIBBED AT 08.45 INTO A LIGHT WEST WIND, HIGH BROKEN CLOUD WITH SUNSHINE, BIRDS CLEARED QUICKLY IN ONE BATCH NORTH, ATB TO ALL COMPETING
weather good at race point and up to aberdeen but with drizzle in peterhead and low cloud here in keith but improving all the time i am now looking at at 9am lib
basketing going ahead as normal, 25 birds per crate, apologies for lateness of post but was assigning rings and forgot, next message will be 08.00 on saturday
Most certainly was not mocking, was just interested in where you would draw the line,I think this is the best thread for a while and if I were to take offence as easily as you have then the mental quote at the beginning would be enough
Appreciate that later ones would be jumped in but would you do it by choice with earlier ones? Certainly not trying to rubbish any methods on a good thread but the title was training you must be mental,I disagree
Our fed is over 100 miles east to west and if untrained birds were put from the extreme west side I firmly believe they would be decimated,we have one guy in our club (mid fed position ) never trains and is wiped out within the first three races, not intending to be silly just wondering where the line is? Would you start untrained over 100 miles then? Not in a fed 100 miles wide then?
