Spot on Andy. I am 12 miles from Elgin and they wanted £27 carraige. I phoned to check and was told it was down to UPS. I then double checked and ordered a tub of split rings (just to see what they would charge for something that could get posted via royalmail) and it was still £27, gob-smacked to say the least! Ronnie you will get it at Longley's of Maud if you know anybody that is passing.

RSPB claim they are alien invaders. There is lots of evidence that they were here a long time ago as you say a native species. Not 100% sure on this but heard that peregrines were introduced to these shores by the Romans.

I appreciate both sides of the argument. For me no ETS no pigeon racing as I work most saturdays and can't guarantee being here to time in. Where do you stop with fairness? Some people have them in garden others have them on allotments. Some peole have partners others dont. Some people are in a good position and some people are not. Some people work long hours and some do not work at all. etc etc etc -

One of the best fanciers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and fortune to have as a friend. A gentleman.( as you know )
-
Definately food for thought Tony. I know a very good fancier in Anstruther who just closes up hi nest boxes and opens them when he wants. Birds have not been seperated for over 30 years and his results at the distance are teriffic.

I have taken my kids there loads of times when down in Glasgow visiting family. It really is a fantastic place not been for a few years as it was being renovated if I remember correctly. I will have to make a point of going this year.

Walter the SHU should replace them under the sales of goods act. When you buy goods it means you've entered into a contract with the seller of these goods. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 there are a strict set of rules that retailers and sellers must abide by. An overview Under the Sale of Goods Act goods must be: •as described •of satisfactory quality •fit for purpose - this means both their everyday purpose, and also any specific purpose that you agreed with the seller (for example, if you specifically asked for a printer that would be compatible with your computer) Goods sold must also match any sample you were shown in-store, or any description in a brochure. Who is responsible If your goods fail to meet any of the above criteria then you could have a claim under the Sale of Goods Act. If you want to make a claim under the Sale of Goods Act you have several possible ways of resolving your issue, depending on the circumstances and on what you want done. Your rights are against the retailer – the company that sold you the product – not the manufacturer, and so you must make any claim against the retailer. However, the Sale of Goods Act doesn’t apply to goods you've bought on hire purchase (HP). Instead the Supply of Goods Implied Terms Act 1973 applies, which makes the HP company responsible for the quality of the goods supplied and gives you slightly different rights

I think you will find that it is the retailers responsibility to refund or replce the faulty goods for anything up to 6 months after the transaction. The retailer must make good with the customer as they were the parties that entered into a 'contract' The retailer thens claims from the manufacturer.

I think John Crowder is a much respected pigeon man and has been for many many years. I also think he is definately 'worth' calling. Hope that is 'positive' enough for you, so wind your neck in, nothing negative in my first post just good common sense. If you want to know something always best to get it first hand. Have a nice day :emoticon-0157-sun:

Why don't you phone him and ask him!

If Rangers can still compete with an SPL team after what they have been through it does not say much for the standard of the SPL. In truth a team that has been in the SPL since God was a boy against a bunch of kids from the 4th tier of Scottish football should be oneway traffic..... but will it be? I don't think so. But nobody needs Rangers or their fans...... aye right!

Lol, does Mrs Brown think she is a dooman

With all the fairness and equality there is now you think people would be interested in watching it. I mean with games being of 'such a quality' you would think the turnstyles would be red hot!!! :emoticon-0127-lipssealed: :emoticon-0127-lipssealed: Well done to the saints :emoticon-0123-party:
