Bigda, if I recall correctly we went for option 2 at the AGM, this is for two transporters with 80 crates each plus two trailers which will hold 64 and 48 crates respectively, a total of 272 crates @ 28 birds per crate = 7168 birds or 8160 birds @ 30 birds per crate, also if I recall correctly at the race programme meeting, although I don't have the date to hand we decided if the SNFC were not going on the specific date then Lanarkshire would go to Leicester themselves, I'm sure it was the normal date when the SNFC would be at the first inland national from Newbury ?? , as the SNFC race programme has not yet been decided then it is not a definite that Lanarkshire will have a race that day on their own, again that's if my memory is accurate.

Rooster, it's very clear on the proposal, ( Sections A B C D E F G remain status quo - ie no change ) that's exactly how it's worded.
-
Del, Rooster, hadn't thought of that which could apply in a lot of cases, as an example , 1st West Region , 10th sect E doesn't ring true and IMO is *expletive removed* for elbow, probably have been better to keep for AGM but now food for thought. Taking this a bit further although a bit more extreme it is also possible to win the West Region without winning a prize in Sect E at all which is not impossible at the likes of Tours or Alencon which may only have approx 8 and 30 sect prizes respectively,or am I getting this wrong ??!!!
-
Del, was just thinking the same as this last night, if this proposal were to be adopted then I would stop pooling in the region and use this money to pool heavier in sect E.
-
Del, thought that would be the case, but as I a m also a member of the East Kilbride club and in the main that's the club I have raced in for the last ten years it only complicates matters further, I would be in the Mid west region and the remainder of the members would be in the West region, non starter as far as I'm concerned.
-
Del, I'm not sure looking at the proposed boundary line how this would pan out for myself, but if you look at the line it runs straight through the middle of Blantyre and then extends north straight through the middle of Kirkintilloch so we are in a similar position, all lofts would remain in sect E but some would now be in the West region with remainder being in the Mid west region.
-
IMO you are also correct regards the first inland national last season, a fiasco followed by a cover up which I also hope is addressed at the AGM
-
Rab, i have just come in and read your latest post, you and I have been at cross purposes somewhere as what you have just written is exactly what I have also been thinking, I know that this proposal was not intended to help the guys in the far west ( sect F ) , if this were adopted then putting them into region where if they wanted to pool in it then they would be forced to pool against lofts in sect E will only stop them pooling or possibly discourage them from sending at all, that was my original point. I also agree that this proposal is designed by and large for the benefit of only one geographical area, that's why I'm dead against it and really hope it does not get through, better to leave things as they are at present.
-
Rab, got your PM, this is the first chance I've had to reply to this and your posts, there is lots I could write but as time is limited I will keep this brief, if I were in sect F which I am not then I would be more than happy to take my chances in Blantyre or for that matter in Kirkintilloch against the guys located especially in Ayrshire. All the best for 2013 Davie
-
Rab, it's you who needs the specs, I wrote DuNbartonshire which takes in Kirkintilloch ( where you live ) Milton of Camsie etc, DuMbarton as per your quote is a completely different place, don't get your point regards North Lanarkshire as its not in sect F
-
Gareth, same with this, completely accurate, nowadays it's very hard getting an entry from the guys in Ayrshire so putting them in a section with guys from Lanarkshire / Dunbartonshire will only make things worse.
-
Bang on Gareth, that's exactly how I see it
-
Del, thought you were at the windup when I read your post, then I checked the info sheet and the AGM is in Stenhousemuir !!!!!, sure we don't have to wonder why,!! It's a no brainier
-
The maps are very poor but from what I can see the west / mid west boundary line runs right through the heart of Lanarkshire and right through the centre of Blantyre where I live, so not sure which region I would end up in. Not withstanding this I'm dead against this proposal as the only people to gain any real advantage are those in the Stirling area where the proposers are located, if his were to be adopted then I can see an exodus of west section fanciers to the SNRPC which will be of no benefit to the SNFC, IMO far better to leave things as they are at present. Lanarkshire And New Transporters
Big Davie replied to a topic in Clubs/Organisations Topics & Events
Danny, im not buying into your scare mongering, but if the fed money is all gone to get these new transporters then so be it, the members will have to pay a levy, thats whats in the the rule book and thats what the members that were PRESENT at the agm bought into, its not the first time a levy has been applied. -
VMS,it's a 1 loft race so all birds would be flying to wherever the loft is located, that means it perfectly possible for a west section youngster to win it.

Del, going east and with the SNFC to 3 races,so just the job as far as im concerned although i would like to see the SNFC dropping the first inland national on June 8th, if this were to happen then Lanarkshire will be going to Leicester that day on their own
-
Very well done Jock, you have had a fantastic season finished off superbly winning the SNFC west section average, great stuff, Davie

Think outside the box man, things are not always what they appear to be at face value

Hey Delboy, although very close to the truth i was PMSL at this post " could you be more specific " was talking to a mate of yours the other night and i believe you call them coconuts. Davie

that depends on where the national is being flown from
