Best post I've seen for a while and is exactly what I think myself, I normally send to inland Nats but that is because they are available, and I enjoy Nat racing, but if they went today I wouldn't miss them, nearly happened a few years ago at Nat AGM in Stenhousemuir when the vote to keep or drop was tied but the then president cast his deciding vote to keep them

Should we call him Johnny , that's nearly Danny LoL

Not normally a critic of officials but I think they have got this wrong and are only inviting further flak with this decision

Aye Tam ye did, as did many others but the SNFC dates were wrong so you won the vote but didnae get what you voted for

Does anyone on here have any further thoughts on this or can the they clarify what was decided at the meeting ? I was there and my take was the fed would be going to Ypres with the SNFC but now not sure if that is the case as they might now be going to this race on there own on the same weekend?

Stuart, beat me to the punch but your spot on, inland Nats have also killed the good open races from the coast that most Feds used to have, it's not so long ago that Lanarkshire 2 races around 340 - 360 Mls, a duplication / pool race plus an open race with good birdage and pools to match, they have also had a detrimental effect on gold cup race entry's Agree Nat races should all be from overseas and let the Feds take us to the coast, basically the way it used to be which worked well until inland Nats were introduced IMO

Billy, your right it is off topic but I agree with every word you've written, if it was left to me there wouldn't be any inland Nats but in this day and age that's not likely to happen

Jim, I did notice that, surely that's not bombed out as well for 1 day ??expletive remove It's on the same weekend, if the Fed go to Ypres on there own with the SNFC sitting next to them at the same race point then that really is cutting yer nose aff Tae spite yer face, surely not ?

Jim, it will be ok this year as right now the Fed are going to Ypres with the SNFC so they won't have to worry too much about a poor entry

Davie' understand where you are coming from but that is only your opinion which you are entitled too, you should remember that when this programme was voted in it included 3 races where the fed were going with the Nat and that's what the majority of the members voted for and wanted at the meeting, the only reason the fed is not now going with the Nat is because 2 of the SNFC dates on the proposed programme were out by a week , so if these had been correct you were going with Nat to 3 races because that is what the vast majority of the members present at the meeting wanted and voted for It was only a balls up that prevented this happening

National minded members of Lanarkshire fed also contributed to the purchase of the new transporters, and this has nothing to do with Nat men wanting cheap duplication, regards Nat men not wanting to race with the fed and being told to *expletive removed* off with the Nat that's exactly what will happen, then just wait and see how many birds the fed can muster in the new transporters at Buckingham and Littlehampton This about what's best for the fed its members and the birds JMO
