you say tony, that the bird had paramyxo,, then got it again,, birds that have recovered from paramyxo usualy are left with some sort of permanent nerve damage i,e, head to the side or the likes, but as i understand it couldnt catch it again, i was just wondering if it def was paramyxo and not salmonella , both similar symtoms ,, but salmonella often leaves ,,cariers , and can spring up at anytime , with these cariers [that can actualy look well],,just a thought

yes i would tend to agree with that vic,my own opinion is buying them in small quantities from the health shop,, ,,,i suspect frank doomans post regarding" mould" and these birds dying would be aspergilliosis, which could come from mould in peanuts which you cant even see ,off course more commonly by mould in straw, i allways used peanuts for the distance [among other feeds ] this was in answer to the microwaving

wouldnt know if this was right or not, but certainly food for thought, years ago the cocks looked like cocks with bigger wattles and bolder heads ,,,now some of them look like street pigeons [ healthy ones ;D],,,,,,,have read about this though tony.

i would say be very wary training early , especialy in east winds,,,,,plenty time for distance birds

i dont theres a desease called yb sickness ,, thats a name given by pigeon fanciers, to yb ,s being sick ,its not a vetenary recognised illness,,, the questions i would like to ask is why has this certain type of illness just appeared in the last [roughly decade] never heard of b4 that, whats so differant now, than years ago, how can a fancier in cornwall get this the same time as a fancier in aberdeen? the only thing in common is the food were feeding them , most of it comes from the same places,,,,,,,is it grown the same as years ago? , i very much doubt it , so it does make one wonder. ,,,,,,
