never seen the point of apologies in bhw/rp. what good does that do? arguments happen in clubs all the time but some take things far too serious.

i would say they dont "need" to be raced but a duffer is a duffer whether it is raced as a young bird or not and will eventually be found out. i enjoy yb racing (some of the time anyway lol) and the season is short enough as it is but its a free country and everyone is entitled to do as they wish

yes sorry noticed later last night that you were just over 500. but i think that by reducing the distance and also convoying with unc some of the national races are little more than sprints although i`m puzzled why there were not more day birds from lillers yet they piled in next day

have to agree that there do not seem to have been any "good " races from falaise since snfc went back there. by good i mean returns in general. from what i have heard there are still several fanciers (and top national fliers included) who have never seen a feather from last week. yet when you study the result some members have several birds timed in particular in the south section. with west in the wind you would expect the east to dominate the race yet the 19 section a prizes are won by 20.02 (29th open). i.e in less than 2% of the total entry there are 10% of the section a birds and in my opinion its not just down to the shorter distance. another observation, if the birds came up the east side why did they not tumble in like the lillers birds appear to have done on sunday morning. i believe most of the birds which returned have come up the west of the country. where the rest have gone i dread to think

what do you class as a distance race? i may be wrong but i dont think the south section has had a race over 500 miles this season unless any are going to saintes this weekend

i think what he is trying to say is that there are guys on the national result who would not have been at the race had it not been in their federation programme. i e. convoyed by snfc and duplicated into fed. not sure what the problem is as it increases the national entry and the cream always rises to the top as usual and if it means regular national flyers being pushed down the result so be it

looks like a long weekend......cant see a race before monday unless weather changes in france

that is as good a reason as any for trying to get it going again. too many feds going down the road with half empty transporters liberating 15 mins apart. not sure about dropping inland nationals as they seem to be well supported. how about a race from the coast 2nd week in july (hardly any racing into scotland last weekend at the height of the season)
