I think it is useful for fanciers to find out when neighbouring feds are liberated or if messages are put on if your own lib is delayed. I you think it is too expensive dont use it. I f it makes money fro the bhw so what they are a business and it makes a few bob for the fed then surely thats a good thing. The snfc libline this year was rubbish but a lot was to do with members not phoning in early arrivals.
i think the best performances in view of the conditions on the day are T Skelton 1st Section A and Mr & Mrs Cameron 1st Section C. this is in no way taking anything away from the section b fliers who have had an outstanding race once again
totally agree how many of you have 500 mile birds that you would enter if they had classes. once there are 30 promised in each class i will apologise. also agree that while it is mainly racing fanciers who attend they are there for the banter and the bevvy. a lot of guys go to blackpool and never go in the winter gardens and as it has been said the aisles with the show birds are mainly empty apart from the show racer guys
dont know where you get 100 doos max from there were 59 into dundee station alone according to clockman and that was from less than 200 entries. norman renton has 10 on libline plus many others with multiple times. i agree there is a problem for the west guys but i honestly think it has something to do with your race programme i.e too many short races with a big convoy where the majority of the birds are just followers. when they get in with birds going a different direction
yes it could be improved but if members dont phone in their arrivals it becomes a waste of time. the updates should be at set times i.e every hour so you know when to phone back if you dont want to miss an update and if its too much work forone person why not get a member from each region to update their own area. its great to watch the nfc and mnfc etc races unfold as the birds work their way up the country.
grapevine back in operation. best in angus mr/mrs cameron, arbroath 5.20. best in dundee i think mcewan 5.30, mick leggett & dave liddle, forfar both in before 6
you cant stop him being lazy but i think if he goes on holiday and makes no arrangements to feed/water birds you should report him to rspca. a couple of days you could leave enough food and water to keep them going but i doubt for much longer
well to put it in simple terms if you hadnt seen your wife for a week and were promised something if you got home quickly you wouldnt hang around would you lol
to be serious the dave allen book is good for a starter but there are loads of videos advertised or ask a clubmate for advice (jim edward)
how many of yours that DIDNT end up at the stray centre have been on the national result? i agree that the majority of strays are no good but then the majority of all pigeons do not win races. by the same token a national winner could go down at its next race. does that make it useless? you guys who boast about what you will do to a stray annoy me. i bet if you got a winner back in a box you would give it another chance
