  1. remember also that some of these birds have never really been tested. yes it was easy for the winners but the distance is increasing and the racing has been easy up to now. " the basket always sorts them out!"
  2. i think as well as the heat there will have been clashing involved. the north lads were racing from ripon and aberdeen from witton castle and would have less chance of clashing with birds going south and virtually no chance of clashing with other scottish feds
  3. about 5 years ago now i think. the boys north of the tay won too often thats why it stopped. totally agree 15 minute intervals a waste of time get all the east side up together!!!
  4. i heard john barnes is looking for a job in uk............& inverness have been relegated so no worries there lol
  5. hi kyle. where do you live. you should try to find a fancier near you who might let you see his birds

  7. nothing wrong with the racepoint. fife got a good race today. there may be peregrines there but they are everywhere nowadays
  8. for a fed with so many members surely you could organise a midweek toss to get distance on your birds. if the weathers good next week yearlings will take the jump no bother (if they are any good and they are fit)

so is it the champ or the profi thats giving the problems? why are only some users having problems and not all? is it the system or the user thats causing the problem?
  17. which update are you referring to?
  18. cant you move to another fed which is willing to abide by rpra rules
  19. I think it was "Old Hand" (showing my age now) who once wrote that young birds should be either in the loft, in the basket or in the sky. No harm in picking around the garden until they are flying but I would have thought by 8 weeks they should be flying a bit more.
  20. was the clock put in the base station before the birds arrived
  21. which federation is that?
  22. dont worry they`ll be up
  23. what was the original question??? lol
  24. SHU club rule 1 states "all members thereof must be members of the Scottish Homing Union". Club rule 3 states "Committee of management shall consist of a mininum of 5 members including President, Vice President and Secretary & Treasurer" herefore the secretary must be a SHU member. Cant speak for RPRA but I would think same would apply. They dont have to have pigeons though to be a member
  25. how did south lanarkshire fund their transporter? what year is the truck it is mounted on? and the big question....what did it cost. I`m asking because I think all feds will have to go this way before too long.
