i think the clubs should have backed the refs and refused to play using foreign officials. be interesting to see how many managers would have agreed particularly the loud mouth little t__t that caused it. managers usually criticise referees to hide their own shortcomings

i like every type of racing. fed racing is fine but there is more of a challenge when its a national. the members who criticise the inland nationals are usually the ones who dont score from them. i also enjoy long distance racing but there are more and more fanciers who dont like the long wait and that is why they prefer inland nationals.

Hope you are at the AGM and state that Inland National winners are an insult to REAL DOOS (whatever that means) Many MODERN fanciers like the inland races because they are over and done with on the shift unless you are in the north section with your REAL DOOS where you often get an extra day to get a section prize. yes it would be great to have our own state of the art transporter. what size would you go for. To make it worthwhile it would have to be able to take the largest entry i.e Eastbourne. You would then have it going to Reims half full (or half empty). What if Eastbourne was a prolonged holdover? What happens at Bourges? You could buy two transporters but one of them would only be required for three races a year at most. Hardly a sound business decision. Or are you looking for a cheap hire for your fed doos.

i am prepared to fly against any one from anywhere but you will NEVER get a level playing field in doo racing no matter how much you try. read billy wortley in the rp this week. it is 100 years since the snfc started racing from rennes. for years it rennes/nantes/avranches so why change direction now but as a trial why dont you propose that your own fed races out to oslo next season to prove how successful it could be.

so what you are saying is any doo in the north fed that cant fly hastings on the day is rubbish. i`ll remember that next time you get a north wind. oslo to scotland in a south west wind would be as hard as you could get. if any were lucky enough to land on a boat heading for peterhead they would be laughing

i think the decline in shows is because you cant get guys to run them and do the work and club shows have died a death mainly due to many clubs only having a handful of members. its good to see some clubs & feds still running open shows as its good for a day out in thne winter whether you show or not. never understood classes such as "likeliest to fly 100 miles". any doo that cant fly 100 miles shouldnt be in the loft in the first place and any decent judge should bve able to pick out a dipped bird in a racing class.
