noticed yesterday a young hen was struggling to fly, shes healthy, eating and drinking ok but is finding it hard to fy up to the perches.........shes on the dark and is moulting so could this be taking it out of her a bit......?

ive just weaned ybs over the last couple of weeks and put them straight onto the dark, ive put them into a section seperate from the older ybs which are mostly looking like yearlings now.........im planing on coming off the dark on the longest day and have been told the younger ones wil catch up more or less....

i think now the portal is working properly the site is more or less the same, apart from there being a more modern feel about it............i do agree that the reason so many have "jumped ship" is because of the time it took to get the site back up and running, members went elswhere and because the alternative site layout was what they were used to using they chose to stay there and not give the new look basics a chance. basics is as easy to use as before if members stick to the portal (as they probably did do before......)

i think whichever government get in they will make all our lives a misery, wouldnt trust any of the thieving lying scum as far as i coud throw them........................

if you are a member of a club you automatically become a member of the rpra, i was an individual member for 2 years then joined a club this year to race ybs........about six weeks ago the sec gave me a membership card for the rpra which was the same member number as my individual members number, so this means i didnt have to send £10 to renew my membership i had already it, was included in my fees/subs i paid when joining the club............

tried that too J.A.M. still the same, blank........no big deal anyway, it will get sorted eventually.

tried that sapper and still a blank screen, all i can see is the header/banner and the tarus ads etc down the side.....but where the portal should be is blank.

thanks for that j.a.m. better than nothing.......i always spend my time using the portal normally as this gives all the latest posts, as i think most members do.....anyway, not grumbling, early days yet.

do you mean under the basics banner in the top left corner....? at the side of where it says members? thats where ive clicked to get onto it and all it gives me is a blank screen....

like the new look site, altho will take a bit of getting used to................ can anyone teel me whats happened to the portal, i get a blank screen.....

only my opinion, but if they have only just started flying i would never stop them landing on the house at this stage.........the most important thing is the settle them without any losses, you can always stop them landing on the house roof once they know where home is and are flying in a bunch/group.........

just a thought, but are your birds on dark.....? how far moulting are they as ive had birds which dont want to fly much when they are moulting, maybe sore.....????? j.m.o.

all very nice ybs, like the little grizzle in the second pic best tho`..............hope you have some winners there.

have used crowthers breeding mix this year, at the wakefield one its £9.50 for 25kg and im happy with it...........did add G10 pellets to it too and ybs were spot on, also using the crowthers yb mix no maize and happy enough with that too......seems decent corn.

yes think i see where you mean,circle with bar over it held down on one side by a nut type thing. the clock has stopped because the battery is not lighting up when pressing the button so can i just replace the battery.?

can anyone tell me how to fit a battery in an STB quartz................thanks.

???? what do you mean.....? if you are asking if anyone has used them i have, and found them to be very good and would use them again in future.......
