  5. When my birds go to race on Saturday I spray everything boxes perches and floor with light spray with thin bleach \ water and it is dry for the birds return
  6. in my report I meant wash out the drinkers and let them drain then fill them with water do not rinse the coating left does the job and has no ill effect on my birds I have done this every day for years with good results
  7. advice from the top Scottish government vets to me was use ordinary thin bleach from Tesco 29p a bottle for drinkers and the loft that is all they use is serious outbreaks of foot and mouth and avian flue inspections it kills all pigeon problems and it will keep your birds trouble free no need for the fancy named disinfectant because they don't work They said vircon was good for Virus but you don't get many cases in pigeons

  13. I remember winning the averages in section B of the combine in 1998 and still have the trophy and went to near Dundee for the presentation and very few north members attended as they were sick at how Their combine had been hijacked
  14. Dundee clubs are the only fanciers competing and they are nae near the gramps
  15. The Grampian Combine was a great success set up by Ally Sim Inverurie a good idea and it worked well TILL ally on his own thoughts for some reason suggested we invite the Dundee clubs to liberate with us for more BIRDSAGE and we were all for it UNTILL we found out AFTER THE FIRST liberation we were Flying AGAINST the Dundee fanciers and oor ars was oot the window for the results . I remember speaking to Bruce McKenzie Dundee years after who ran it after we all backed out about giving us back the cups we had got from sponsers and donations and his reply was we had more chance of being struck wi lightning than them being returned

  18. GOGS WILSON 879 FUKTON & RITCHIE 878 FULTON AND RITCHIE 878 ANDY WILSON 839 GOGS WILSON 832 The last report for the season Well done to five game birds that faced harsh conditions to home into the west section the only birds timed in the club in race time Gogs won the pools and food As a club we want to thank all the committee members and Davie our driver for the work involved in getting us through the season which has been a difficult one On a lighter note James Abel was the first winner of our MUST TRY HARDER TROPHY last year he has done so well this year he wants to keep for another year { we all think he took the trophy when he went training and set it in front of the baskets to remind the birds of the consequences if they did not perform } WHO will get it this year???? We have had a good season with the trophies spread amongst the members showing we have healthy competition which is good
  19. PHIL AGM meetings are a chance for members to take the floor and forward what they would like to happen and make improvements that's when the complaints ect arise and are discussed and put to bed for the new season . your suggestion would not work as the complaints would be aired at the meeting then every one would have to go home and send in a vote. With more than three quarters of the membership [ a fair quote ]not having a clue what was discussed as they were not there to hear it for them selves sorry Phil I'm not with you on this I'm afaid
  20. The north fed is just like all the other federations , members who complain during the season blaming weather, hold overs, bad liberations just blame someone if it does not go your way but by the time the AGM arrives its all forgotten about my most and they don't attend the AGM hoping someone will fill the places and arrange it again for them to enjoy there sport without any input so that they can start complaining again Is not easy to for our committee to get it to suit every club with such a wide area to cover and it wont change you have to take the rough with the smooth and get on with it My opinion if you have a grievance attend the meeting and bring it up then not hide behind a postal vote
