Spoke to a friend near uttoxeter today and forecast is good for tomorrow morning ,at the moment .

Well done graham the master of the distance has turned to sprint racing lol well done the brother with one of mine doing the same kind of velocity mine do most weeks lol .

If any consolation Doug's the same only 1 home when I spoke last. Not good and all yearlings.

Spoke to this fancier on Sunday and he confirms what I have witnessed myself that a lot more birds go to the drinkers on the geraldy baskets than I ever seen going to wicker ones as the geraldy baskets let in a lot more light than wicker . We put our club geraldy baskets out side on a Friday with the drinkers up and you would be amazed how many take a drink from them . Basket training ybs can help but don't think all the birds can get to the drinker .

3 this morning now 15/22 all yearlings missing mostly unraced as yb and this was their first race ever . All ybs will be raced this year , lesson learned.

Never blame my birds before myself , but they can't always be as good as they look/handle. As my brother says if one can make it then why make exceptions! .

Could be but why have some Feds hammered them in and others hammered! , on a pleaseing note I have a three yr old hen who lost her mate 2 weeks ago and is still sitting her eggs on her own she has only had a couple of races in her life this being her third an so glad she made it and she is still sitting tight lol. Ps she has no new mate

Agree , I could say same allHome but I would still feel gutted like I do now . Must confess to sending 8 yearlings for their very first race 176 mls a lot to ask I know but 3 made it so where are the rest.

Final comment on this is John Barr wins club but at 9.10 32 1123.782 , So we were both wrong . Lol

Airdrie only sent 14/15 baskets compared to 20 plus last week . I sent 17

I can accept that Walter, but with working trying to get them away is not easy , there was another 3 guys libbed before me so I was just unlucky , and unfortunately carnwath is where most go and at that time of night did,nt want to go any farther , only took the naturals to make up numbers , mistake , but I accept I got it wrong .

Took 16 widow cocks & 10 national candidates to carnwath on friday at 5 pm it was a lovely night , you know what's coming ! Got home all widow cocks in the loft but only 2 naturals , 4 missing over night 1 half wing out . Up this morning 1 home ripped open he was 1 of my 2 hopes for gold cup and the other is missing , sick is not the word I have brought them on slowly only giving the odd race and on open hole thinking this could in some way help them become street wise . I know you all hear this all the time but not in a good place at this moment.
