  1. Sounds like a good race, good velocity aswell.
  2. I personally think today was too early to be looking at bringing birds back to Leicester, now when the controllers are looking at the weather for tomorrow there would be a case for doing so, but it's their call, and we have to get on with it,we have Gold Cup candidates out there also and time is running out for them. I'm working tomorrow, if they go up early I will need to ask for a half day or miss the race, hay-ho, then their is the clocks the following day! Doo racing it's a wonderful sport
  3. You learn a lot handling birds at a national marking station, I handled some outstanding birds, but also some I would personally have left in the loft.
  4. 1100 plus away from the West, brilliant and section F 399 birds, fantastic turn out, hers for a good race. Good luck everyone.
  5. I might be wrong here but I think both parents would have to be carrying recessive red which would be very rare, but probable a red in the loft has been involved.
  6. We are still 18/27 not a feather since 20:30 last night, one reported 17 miles west of the lib site not flown down? think percy must have got in early.
  7. We still only have 16/27 and some are a lot worse than us.
  8. A cracking web site, it supports SHU and RPRA.
  9. Cheers for the update Stuart, as if we don't have enough to deal with.
  10. If they were shot at, I wonder who and why people are shooting in this area, does it happen regularly and are our birds at risk more than we know? there must be an organization organizing this. Frighting.
  11. It's the first I've heard of this.
  12. They must be residend in Otterburn lol
  13. It's hellish Del, now the weather has heated up alot of fanciers will be loused, racing in winter conditions then when the good weather comes we have no birds left, same every year, I think the East wind didn't help this week, but last week otterburn was so predictable. Hoping for a west/north west wind to steady them up this week. "high velocities = high losses"
  14. Nothing here since Sunday, still 22/28, I thought we would have got a couple on Monday, but he,ho.
  15. Welcome to the crazy world of pb. Robert morris
  16. We are still 33/39 nothing today.
  17. You'll be glad to see her home, we haven't had any this morning, waiting on a hen that flew the 2nd inland and clermont last year.
  18. It's sad to say it but we knew this was coming 100% from two dunbars them boom at Otterburn, but we have to go or we will be taken a bigger jump next week, ( we still have some to blood) it's the same old chestnut, starting too early and it'stoo cold. And the majority will vote for it again next year. And so on......
  19. I said it earlier, the peregrines must love Glasgow birds. It's groundhog day again, we had to send for a bird reported in Liverpool from this race last year, it will be interesting to see where birds get reported from this race and we might get an idea of what direction they went.
  20. 10:00
  21. Correct.
  22. If you think this was a good return from under 100miles, fill yer boots, I think its very poor, JMO.
  23. We get a poor race everytime we go to Otterburn when other feds get good racing, the Raptures must like the Glasgow birds??
  24. Every time we go there, when Lanarkshire don't get hit????
  25. Some have had great racing and returns from Otterburn and this would lead us to think the race point is ok, so if Glasgow keep getting poor racing and returns is it something we are doing? I'm 100% sure all is being done behind the scenes to assure the best possible race, so what is the reason? nobody knows, for me we need to stop using Otterburn.
